Lots of stairs up to the room. Very little storage space in the room

There was a bit of a damp/stale smell coming from the shower drain but this soon disappeared after we had used it a couple of times and it wasn't really an issue.

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and prompt. Nicely fitted bathroom (heated towel rail!) and fresh decor. Staff were friendly and efficient, especially the lady with glasses who worked breakfast. It can get a little rowdy in the bar at the weekend but the rooms were very well soundproofed and it was hardly noticeable once upstairs.

Breakfast, although acceptable, could have been improved with better quality products ( appreciate that could increase cost). The bathroom would have benefitted from a hook on the door to hang clothing from whilst in the shower.

The room was clean and fresh. We received a complementary upgrade, the room was huge.

You really should warn people if there is a function on - there was a really loud wedding disco on when we arrived. We probably would have stayed elsewhere if we had known and it’s a bit sneaky to assume we wouldn’t mind

Good location for a stay in Morecambe. Room was clean and warm. Staff very friendly and helpful with storing bikes and accommodating for an early breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

I loved how nice the staff were, the food was amazing especially the full English breakfast, loved that we had binoculars in our room as it was a sea view. Overall couldn’t have been better.

Good 2 day stay, rooms very clean and compact, lovely breakfast and staff are very pleasant. only issue for me was being a pub all rooms are up quite steep stairs and with walking problems you might find it difficult. location is perfect, the pub itself is good with reasonable prices for your drinks. even with my hip problems i would gladly go back to the royal.

Early evening closure was disappointing. Also a little concerned that there were no staff on site from approximately 9pm until the following morning. My room (5) had no card/written instructions on what to do in an emergency. Relying on guests to ensure the rear door was secure in the evenings is worrying.

Food and service were excellent and the staff worked very hard to ensure every guest was looked after, even in an emergency. They are a credit to the business.

There are no lifts so I would recommend asking for a room on the first or second floor if you’re not too fit. Having said that we were on the top floor so the views were great and zero noise from the bar.

All the staff we had contact with were great, all really friendly. The bar area is really nicely done and cocktails reasonably priced. Breakfast menu wasn’t just the usual full English (though that is available if you want it!)

Very off-hand staff member on arrival. Felt so unwelcome. Challenged what we'd booked & asking for small amount of milk for room was like squeezing blood out of stone. Young lad at breakfast was totally different, helpful & friendly. Clarification needed re booking parking.

Good value. Clean room with great views. Dog friendly (though elderly dog struggled with steepish stairs).

Male staff behind the bar needs to lighten up, our room was on the top floor which is abit of a trek up steep stairs, bar should have a later closing time

Bed was a bit low down but wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

Central. Great views. Well equipped. Great space. Very clean. (A couple of hairs in the bathroom but on the whole spotlessly clean). Breakfast was great.
