A little tired decor wise but very clean

My only problem was they had no spare pillows the one provided were a little flat mattress was a little firm for me husband who can sleep anywhere had no problem with it I found the stairs up to the rooms a bit of a problem but I have mobility issues and copd so not hotels fault

Host were love and welcoming nothing was to much trouble provided me with a iron an ironing board on request loved the choice of cereal yogurt orange juice a pastry and fresh milk nice large fridge with ice box I was lovely and clean shower perfect worked well but a bit off centre eve provided for your needs even though it’s above a pub no noise pollution at all , tv with free view nice large room was cold but heating solved that issue I love Walton snd know it well so had no problem with the local areas no all the best places to go and enjoy good value for money stayed at Easter weekend made my stay being in the hub of it all and the free parking made life easy too

The welcome and check-in process were excellent. Very friendly and obliging. We were given a pass to park the car in one of their parking spots, which was very handy. Although they don't do breakfast as such they left two small boxes of Corn flakes, coffee, tea, and milk in the room, as well as two youghurts and two chocolate croissants. Not forgetting two bottles of water. A great place to stay,right on the seafront... Excellent... We will go back. Thank you

The outside and downstairs areas could do with some love just to make things more appealing. Since we were only needing the room and were intent on exploring it wasn't such an issue, put just some touches at least here and there would help.

Fantastic location, large refurbished room and friendly welcome. The drinks and snacks for breakfast, plus the fridge was also great.

Very well located on the seafront and very good value for money. Room was fairly basic, but very clean and in excellent order. In room continental breakfast was a nice surprise and well received. Free parking for our van was included. Great job team Albion.

Nothing, all good. Steps up to bathroom possibly a bit steep but lovely modern bathroom.

Fabulous beach front location, lovely staff, big rooms, stunning sea views and very welcoming. Loved the breakfast in the room. Cafes all around for food. 2mins walk to beach. Great for kids. Lots of water and milk and yoghurts in fridge. Stunning sandy beaches outside.

The only thing was the stairs in the family room we stayed which going up to the ensuite are a little steep with no hand rail, I fell and injured my knee which I'm still recovering from. Apart from that all is good

The hotel is currently being redecorated in the corridors. However, this did not affect my stay. The rainfall shower head had a rubber spout missing, so it was pouring water from this section, which was uncomfortable and made an unnecessary noise, plus a number of the other rubber spouts appeared blocked fully or partially. The toilet was quite tightly squashed in the corner of the bathroom between two walls, not allowing much leg room space.

Great location. It is very near to the beach and high street that has numerous shops and restaurants. Plus, it was so quiet at night even though on the main high street through road and the windows were open. The room was clean and very spacious. With ample storage space. Plus, there was a lovely continental breakfast, including orange juice, cereal, pastry, and yoghurt. There was also a great tea/coffee facility with a fridge.

Beds could be a bit softer. I know some like firm mattresses but it is hard to get used to if you're a side sleeper. No other issues noted and well worth the value for location and cleanliness.

Excellent location and communication. Room was well stocked and clean. Everything worked great. The staff was excellent and willing to help with any of our needs.

The hotel could use a freshening up of the exterior and decor, but understandably the past few years must have been very challenging for a hotel that could not operate during pandemic lockdowns. The owners deserve a break to carry on their business and build it up further. All credit to their tenacity and guest oriented approach!

Very warm welcome. Very kind owners, who went out of their way to provide excellent service. As during the night the fire alarm went off (false alarm) they felt the need not only to reimburse the night (which really wasn't necessary) they also supplied us with a bottle of wine and drinks for the children, with an apology card. In our view we prefer a fire alarm that goes off when nothing is wrong to an alarm that doesn't go off when there is. Despite the hotel clearly having had a hard corona time the service and warmth made up for any minor discomfort. The hotel is ideally suited right next to the beach, with unobstructed sea views, and is perfectly located for anyone who is travelling to catch a ferry at Harwich and needs a place to stay over. Ample parking space provided by the hotel.

The room was lovely, very clean and new as was the bathroom. They are obviously in the midst of refurbishing the premises.
