There was no wifi available at the time of our visit which was a bit inconvenient as 4G reception was poor in our room. Parking was also a bit of a hassle as there is no private parking onsite. But overall it was a good choice for a short stay.

The Roebuck is a pleasant, fairly quiet pub (during our stay, anyway) just off the main street in Chapel En Le Frith. Our room in the separate annexe outside the main building was small but nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The ensuite was also small, especially the shower, but was clean and functional. It was ideal for a couple of nights while we walked in the dark peaks. Hot breakfast was cooked to order and there were also cereals, juice and toast to help yourself to. We ate in the pub one night, which serves nice, no-frills pub food at a very good price. There are lots of places to visit within a shortish and very scenic drive, including Lord's Seat and Edale, Shining Tor and the Goyt Valley, Errwood Reservoir and the caverns of Castleton.

The bathroom sink n glass above was dirty with soap n toothpaste from previous people.Hair in sink. Chewing gum on a bedside cabinet. Nothing a quick wipe down when we came in solved. Neighbours bathroom expelair sounded like a drill when they used bathroom.

The host was lovely n helpful. Area stunning.

Breakfast was very good with a vegetarian option and the staff were friendly. Altogether, it is good value for money.

No hot water in the shower on thefirst night, but when I told Alice about this she did put it right straightaway. There was loud football coverage in the pub during breakfast.

Lovely room. Very quiet after a day's hiking.

Breakfast was chaos ,they are new owners and just haven’t got into the swing of it yet…shame really because it really let them down..Kate was lovely…probably best to drop the breakfast option and lower the price..

The room was lovely and clean and comfortable bed

Food terrible, bed was soft and rocky, room was too warm. Barely any pressure out of the shower, no hand soap, 1 small bottle of shower gel and shampoo, which ran out. No attention to detail whatsoever.

Had to ask for toilet paper, and soap. Breakfast was very disorganised, had to ask for a knife, butter and serviettes. The fried egg was cremated and hard, only brown crusts available for toasting, no brown bread at all on second day. Only cubed sugar available for cereals and no condiments.

The location for town was ok, parking ok, but busy.
