Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOnly one thing was a loud noise when toilets flushed or water went down sink, but didn't spoil my sleep.
The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of tea and coffee etc. Huge window with view of the sea and the 360. Breakfast was continental plenty of choice and all good brands, really enjoyed it. Would stay again.

Hong KongThe facilities are a bit outdated, particularly for the water heater in the bathroom. The rooms would require some renovation. And there's no elevator.
The location is great. It is very close to beach, a children's play area, and a few good restaurants nearby. Room is spacious.

Very clean, and plenty of tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was self service and no cooked food available, this is as I expected, and fine. Comfortable bed. All was as I expected. Brilliant location.

New ZealandStaff were accommodating and friendly. They were able to arrange early checkin for me (which I’d requested) which was appreciated greatly after 42 hours of travel. Good quality breakfast. Fantastic location. Walking distance to heaps of attractions and close to waterfront. Helpful with local info and arranged taxi to station after Uber quotes seemed extraordinarily high. Quiet room.

The lady I complained to about having no power, I.e. electricity in my room sorted it out very quickly. It was also a very comfortable hotel.

NetherlandsI didn like the toilet it had a macerator which made a terrible sound, we stayed 7 days, after the first 2 days we were used to the sound, but at first it was worrying
The room was fine. not super luxurious but for the price good enough. we had a nice view of the square and could see the i360 and beach from our room Breakfast was ok. when i asked if there was a vegan option they kindly bought vegan yogourt, vegan butter and vegan bread for me.

We had a really good nights sleep- the blackout blinds and the fan in the room helped as it was a hot day. Breakfast was included- nothing cooked, but it was well presented with good variety. I was pleased overall.
