Hubby thought beds were too soft but I found them comfortable

Comfortable for our one night stay. Had dinner in their restaurant which was lovely. Lovely hot shower. Bathroom quite large. We were on top floor so lots of stairs. Breakfast you had a choice of a hot one. It is limited selection wise but my pancakes were lovely. Quiet location,

Although the breakfast was lovely so compliments to the chef, it could be held in the restaurant to which is a much nicer room than the room used upstairs.

It was a great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed so good nights sleep had.

friendly staff, gammon for dinner was quite good, breakfast average, bacon and mushrooms very well done, options a bit limited. Twin room clean and comfortable but in the attic, not easy to access with golf clubs. Overall pretty good and fair value for money.

Hotel is in need of refurbishment. Our room had peeling wallpaper and the toilet flush didn't always work. Would request a room on a lower floor another time as we had a lot of stairs to climb.

Good attentive service. Location perfect for the places we wanted to visit. Good to have parking available. Nice substantial breakfast.

The room was very noisey in the morning due to traffic and deliveries. The shower had little pressure and was not very hot. There was dead flies in bathroom. Room was not cleaned after first night. Breakfast could be better. Not enough information given at breakfast _ had to ask for milk, that was kept in a pint bottle . Second day shared the milk with two other tables!

Location was good. The room was a great size. Friendly staff.

First night no heating in the room or bathroom, reason given "forgot to turn it on". Second night still no heating in the room or bathroom. Third night still no heating in the room or bathroom. Both rooms needed heat, it was chilly. The hotel has a restaurant with a very decent menu and offers bar snacks, but on Bank Holiday Sunday evening there was no food available, I was offered a bag of crisps. That was disappointing.

Room was fine, bathroom was fine. Parking was good. Hearty breakfast available.

We've visited Rothbury many time over the last 30 years and have stayed at the Queen's Head Hotel and had many enjoyable family meals there. It's an old building and although it was refurbished a few years ago you have to accept that it's not a new building so there's some creaks and knocked corners.

The breakfast was horrible. The bacon and sausage were so under cooked they were almost raw. The toast looked like it had been threatened with a toaster. My wife wasn't even offered any toast with her breakfast. I had one piece of sausage and the hash brown and left the rest. Not the best way to start your day. We ended up going to the shop further along the street and bought a couple of pies. As for the place itself they have spoiled what was a lovely local pub and ripped the heart out of it by turning it into a eaterie.

The fact that we were able to check-in early was good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

There is a sign saying reception, yet when you look into the room it's basically where the glasses are cleaned and there was nobody in there. Might be easier if check in was just at the bar. Other than that I couldn't fault the place, and will definitely stay again.

Beautiful room. Comfortable bed. Lovely bar and restaurant area. Lovely breakfast.

Requested a room on the first floor due to having mobility issues, was given a room at the very top of the hotel therefore having to climb three floors including a very steep staircase. Once downstairs for breakfast felt the need to check out early rather than climb the stairs again.

Location was great for what was needed. Excellent breakfast Great service Clean room
