Staff amazing accommodated my son with special needs , Kevin Chelsea, There was another member of staff who checked us in very helpful also i forgot her name and the chef Suzanne just went above and beyond food was amazing bar prices reasonable very recommended

Bathroom a little tired, water pressure not amazing in the shower, rooms could do with decorating.

Comfortable beds. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, very friendly.

The room was very clean but looked a little tired, one curtain was hanging off and the bathroom mirror was old.

Breakfast wasn't available but prior to arriving at the hotel I rang and was told I could order breakfast. A few cross wires. I personally think breakfast would be very welcome

No bulb in x 2 lights, no milk for coffee, no bin in bathroom and only one packet of biscuits for 3 adults. Previous damp patch not painted and curtain pole part of missing. Was challenged about the price of the room on checkin which was a bit strange.

Room was clean and comfortable, big bathroom, decent bar with food downstairs, good location a one minute walk from the beach.

Trying to get into the building at 11pm in the pouring rain, all the shutters were down someone came down eventually.

Restaurant stopped serving at 6 but there were alternatives nearby.

Location was perfect. Quiet but plenty to see and do. My bicycle was safely put away for the night.

Bedding did have stains on which was a shame, the shower is pretty small and didn’t have any hot water at all.

The checking in process was not as smooth as I would have liked. I had 2 toddlers and we had to wait in a busy bar until the staff had served drinks to all the customers before she would book me in. There were no cups or glasses in the rooms, which there should have been. If I'd been on my own I would have gone down to the bar and asked for some, but again with 2 toddlers it wasn't an easy task.

Location was brilliant, The sea view was fantastic. The family room was large enough, the bathroom was clean.

The bed was a lil hard and it was quite noisy but didn't ruin my sleep in any way .

The hotel was friendly, clean and had amazing views of the harbour . The staff were excellent and the room was excellent too .

Not really clean,no water in the shower we stayed the for 3 nights and really struggled to have a proper shower, very noisy specially on saturday evening they had a disco down stairs till 00:00 . I would recommend to stay there.

Very noisy road outside. No pillows then I found one in the cupboard and asked for a pillow case it never came . Floors were dirty. Only one small towel. There was sick on one of the chairs. I tried to get out in the morning and they had put down metal shutters with no instructions of how to get out . A real fire hazard! Patio door in my room leading to the main road would not lock. Absolutely terrible for a woman travelling on her own . I didn’t feel safe .

The hosts ...we were locked out at 3 In the morning but a simple phone call was made and the night manager let us in ...he was very understanding and very welcoming.

The beds were a little outdated. But apart from that our stay was lovely.

The location of The Queen Vic Hotel is perfect. Roker beach is opposite. And seaham is 15 mins away.

There is no reception. Given a key card at the bar and told to go upstairs. Had to walk through a warren of stairs and corridors to find room. Huge gaping crack in ceiling and down the wall of bathroom- was worried the roof was going to come in. Curtains falling off and so thin they kept out no light so broad daylight in room from 5am. Awful mattress. Came back at night to find shutters down over the door and no lights on. Banged the shutters and no one answered. Phoned the hotel to get someone to let us in. It’s a weird set up. Loads of nice places along the front - this isn’t one of them.
