Our stay was absolutely perfect! We received a very warm welcome (and complimentary coffee) from Katie and her staff with the news that we had been upgraded to an available suite as we were celebrating a special occasion. Our room was warm, cosy and spotless with great attention to detail with a really comfortable bed. We had a delicious meal of Moroccan lamb in the the cosily lit restaurant. The manager/head waiter of the restaurant is French and he brings a real and very welcome air of professionalism so often lacking in the UK restaurant business. The following morning we were served the fullest breakfast you can imagine again with excellent service. At the Queen's Inn they really go the extra mile to make your stay with them memorable!

Beautiful quirky hotel with lots of original features, wonderful fire places and very friendly helpful staff. Couldn’t fault it, even had little bottles of fresh milk left outside bedroom door every morning. Food was amazing.

Fans are very loud and stay on for ages, you can hear all neighbouring fans no matter what room you are in No shower in room just a shower head attachment on side of bath - steps down to bathroom would be tricky if there were any mobility issues

We are both readers. Had my husband not had the foresight to bring two small torches we would have been unable to read in either the bedroom or the sofa area in the bar. The light was just not good enough.

The room was excellent. We were given an upgrade and had a very large interesting room The food was excellent! Both evening meals and breakfasts were wonderful. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Unfortunately the doorframe to the en-suite was a bit low as my husband is quite tall so hit his head a couple of times. The water in the shower kept going hot and cold.

Rooms are a little small

Extremely welcoming and helpful team. All of the people we spoke with were very nice and have worked there a long time. Breakfast is very good indeed with a wide choice of freshly cooked high quality local food. Rooms a little small but we slept very well on the comfortable beds with good sheets and pillows. Bathroom is ok, lots of hot water and high quality towels and robes.

The windows did not keep out the early and intense traffic in front of the inn.

Fabulous renovated rooms. Very comfy, and daily milk for your tea. Dinner was spectacular (wide choice) and there is a good choice of draft beer! Good English breakfast with Kent apple juice!

There was no mini fridge in the room. Shower had horrible water pressure - such a shame to see a lovely big rainfall shower head, but then have the water just trickle out. Certainly needs looking at something to increase pressure as it was really poor.

Very comfortable room, nice touches ie brownie and selection of hot drinks in room. Dinner in the pub was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, great choice of continental and cooked. (Our breakfast experience was slightly dampened from being sat in a small room with a large table of 12 women, shrieking and shouting across their table to speak with one another - not what you want to hear at 8.30am after a beautifully restful night. But that is not the fault of the hotel, just wished we could have sat in another part to the restaurant to have a pleasant, quiet breakfast)

Lovely coffee on arrival as we waited for our room. Lovely lady welcomed us and worked her magic to get our room early so we could change for a wedding.
