Was asked to choose tea or coffee before being seated. When given the menu I saw that there were different teas available which I would have liked to have ordered if I had known.

Breakfast was good at The Castle plenty of choice of continental and cooked items.

Fabulous! Skip eating in the castle and stick to eating in the hotel as the food served there is definitely the more superior food. Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodation. A fabulous stay.

Staff service could be better with training and attention from management. Very young people gathered as a group during dinner service, rather than topping up water and wine glasses for example. Quilt on the bed was too thick so had broken sleep trying to keep cool at night.

The food at dinner was outstanding. Fine dining at it's best. Breakfast, again was excellent, and loved the little annex we sat in for that. The view across the bay whilst the wind and rain came down was very comforting. The room in the main hotel was ok. Great view but very warm and a little tired. Liked the porter service to the car park.

Nothing not to like.

The experience here at this magical village is enhanced not just by quirky buildings giving you a feeling that you are perhaps in Italy or in some "alice in wonderland" parralel universe, but by terific staff that work so hard to complete the puzzle and make the stay just so memorable. The food is more than delicious. The whole complex is well kept. Great security as well. Great surroundings. Beautiful gift shops. Really top notch and worth putting on the list of must do's.

Possibly could do with more comfortable seating in the bar area as the rest of the seating areas are much more in keeping with the hotel.

Was stunning. Peaceful. Great location. Well presented. The tasting menu and wine flight were absolutely incredible. Well done! The breakfast was also fantastic. We were really impressed with the food and the service which was great considering some of the bad mannered customers staying that night!! All the staff were brilliant.

Fabulous location. A real treat even though we're not really " Prisoner " officionados! It was lovely to hear staff naturally speaking in Welsh while they worked yet very happy to chat in English.

My only minor disappointment was the lack of choice of food available. The restaurant looks stunning - but bar snacks were very limited. Arriving on a Friday night we were asking bar staff if they could just help us by selling some crackers/biscuits to have with cheese in our room but they were not at all helpful with that. So we bought sandwiches - which were delicious but really very expensive!

Our village room, Priors Lodgings, had a lovely loft apartment vibe to it. Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The whole place is a visual feast. The Portmerion hotel is stunning and we especially liked the room blue and gold bar room with the fire.

The layout in the "living" area of the suite did not easily allow for site of the television. The breakfast tables were a little close together

As with our last stay, check in was easy, with a very polite and informative gentleman on the reception. After driving to the gated car park we were immediately met by the driver who transported us to our Village suite. He was very polite, helpful and gave us some tips on what to see in the village. The Fountain 1 suite was comfortable with free wi-fi. Breakfast was from 08.00am and the food very good.
