It is above a pub, which is perfectly all right as long as you don't mind, which we didn't! It's not a B&B or a hotel.

Parking is limited but at the end of the road you can park for free on the main road.

Amazing rooms, really cool pub, great food, great location at the base of the hill to Beachy Head. The photos do not do the room or pub justice. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Eastbourne and won’t go anywhere else now I’ve found this place. Just fantastic! Ask for room 3 with the bath!

Would prefer a proper door on the bathroom rather than a shower door with gaps beneath. Would have liked a full length mirror and a magnifying mirror if being really fussy. Carpet needed a clean and a couple of bits needed fixing in the room. Prefer a larger bed. Local art on the walls rather than Paris would have been preferable.

Loved the location so close to the seafront. Free parking excellent. Staff friendly and helpful - better than any other hotel I’ve stayed in. Bedroom large and modern.Bathroom clean and modern. Breakfast wonderful, outside space great if good weather.

Some minor fixings needed - some curtain tie back hooks have come off the walk and the front door lock fell apart when we left.

It was well proportioned and well equipped. Comfortable and clean. Owner was very helpful with an early check in and being available when we had some issues with the front door lock on deoaeture.

The pub was located in a very nice neighbourhood close to the Seven Sisters and South Downs national park.The accommodation was very comfortable and nicely decorated with all amenities we needed.The staff were excellent and very friendly and professional.The food was probably the best we have had in a pub with great service too.

The room was amazing and fully equipped with an iron and hairdryer. There was also a mini fridge with water which was a lovely touch. We had a beautiful walk-in shower and a roll top bath. Every detail was covered. It was quiet and no noise from the bar downstairs. The food was amazing and the staff can’t help you enough, a very happy and hard working team. The location is perfect, near the beach and the start of the walk up to Beachy Head and also walking distance to Meads village and the town centre. Would definitely return and tell all my friends!

Climb up the stairs with suitcase was a little difficult, but coming down was fine.

It's really hard to put anything in this "What didn't you like?" box when there was basically nothing I disliked. Oh, must admit I've got in the habit of bringing my own loo roll, because what's provided is like sandpaper: this would literally be my only complaint, and I've had the same issue elsewhere, so maybe it's just me? My companion last year didn't have a problem, and she is really fussy!

Fourth time I've stayed here in the past year, in fact now if I need to be in Eastbourne I will not stay anywhere other than here: since my first visit in July 2023, I've planned all my subsequent trips around when the Pilot Inn had accommodation available. Location is brilliant, food is great, staff are polite, rooms are nice.

Nothing really. Could have done with water glasses in the room but we were given some in the restaurant so not really a problem

Excellent breakfast of avocado on toast with halloumi. Lovely fresh tea. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a very good meal. The bass was beautifully cooked. There was a problem with the booking.com payment but the staff were amazingly helpful and it was all sorted. We were going to a funeral and we asked to leave our car for a little longer and we were offered our room as well to get changed in even though we had checked out. Thank you Amber
