my room is just a floor up of the balcony bar, it's clearly heard the noice from the customers. Live band singing songs until 24:00 which is very noisy. Early in the morning, right opposite the main street, there are numbers of people talking loudly, so don't expect you could sleep quite well. The inn itself is aged, so not expect to compare with those moderate hotel. Fortunately, a delicious breakfast help her to gain back more points.

Better communication from hotel. I had asked via a message if parking was available at hotel 3 days before my stay, but no answer from the hotel. On checking in I was asked if I needed a permit for the car park, as they had parking. But I had already paid for parking in a car park nearby. Had I known this before hand I would have parked where I could with the hotel.

Easy check in, no problems with stay at hotel, location is excellent and breakfast nice.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was amazing! I loved the atmosphere & quirky nature of the building. We knew it was an old building so didn’t expect flawless modern facilities. Large room, separate bathroom, clean and tidy. A Charming place to stay 🥰

Breakfast was lovely and filling, catered for Gluten free. the location was perfect for us to explore Whitby and build up the courage to tackle the steps! If we came to Whitby for another visit we would stay at the Pier Inn again

I booked this hotel, over others in the town as it listed parking in the options, so I was expecting a carpark, as we were travelling on motorcycles. The parking offered is a parking permit to put on the dash of your vehicle, and you then park in the town where you can find a spot. I was told at reception that they aren't suitable for motorcycles. I was left with no choice but to cancel as leaving motorcycles out on the street overnight away from any security is not a wise move or covered by insurance

You do need to carry your bags up very narrow and steep stairs so just be aware if you have mobility issues. Parking is up around the bend - and only 15 minutes out front on first arrival to unload bags/check-in. Unfortunately, due to a range of factors, hubby didn’t get the full parking instructions and we ended up with a 35 Pound fine.

Location was wonderful for a one night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a cracking night with the live band and other pub goers on the night of our stay - such a fun night! Breakfast was fabulous on a slight hangover 🤕

Nothing to complain about, all was fine for us. I could advise travelers who have mobility issues or really small children is not to book the rooms at the top of the hotel as the stairs are really steep. But I'm sure the staff would advise on this.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right on the harbour side. Checking in was easy with everything ready for us. The room had a great view of the abbey and was warm and comfy. There was a nice friendly atmosphere around the hotel and bar. Being in the centre of Whitby meant there was a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars to visit.
