Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We liked everything, private parking, gated entrance, brilliant accommodation that was traditional meets modern. Very clean and bright but also warm and cosy. Everything we needed with hosts available and in contact at main house Within approx 10 miles Penzance, Mouse hole, Lands End, St Ives, Porthcurno, driving out on coastal roads with Sea views. St Just has local shops, Pendeen has Spa Store. Many thanks for everything and the welcome pack was much appreciated J and A

United Kingdomcould have done with a fan - evenings were getting a bit hot no network on sim card for neither me or mrs - wifi was at rescue, but still not enough to receive any OTPs
great location - exceptional dwelling made us feel very secure with kids Diane was very helpful and communication was very good - right from before holiday/throughout holiday greeting with scones, cornish cream and jam on arrival was a treat 2 toilet/bathrooms are a treat - not something advertised on listing - so should be mentioned that there are two. facilities were higher than expected - tv in each room/sky/lights /Aga/washing machine/tumble dryer/hair dryer/lots of towels, etc all good

GermanyThe cottage is in a very good condition, extremely clean and tastefully furnished. It is situated in an absolutely quiet location, tucked away in the grounds of The Old Vicarage, ideal for touring the very southern end of Cornwall. Diane and her son Stew are very helpful; we really appreciated the welcome pack of Clotted cream, strawberry jam and milk.

The welcome we received on arrival was so lovely. For saying we were four hours early as we wanted to miss the traffic. I wouldn’t of expected the accommodation to be ready..So we found a pub up the road called Trewellard Arms, nice pub to sit and have a drink. We later found out from Diane this was actually the next village on ( but it wasn’t far ) we passed the old Tin mine on our way but unfortunately this is not open on a Saturday. We received a message from Diane to say we could check in and on arrival back at accommodation we had a complimentary Cream tea which was great. The accommodation was immaculate with good size Kitchen with all the appliances you could think of and an Aga (which I had never used before) but this was fine as Diane talked me though how to use it. Easy when you know how. Table and chairs also and open space living room with Sky TV. Wi-Fi was also good. Two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. There was also a lovely sitting area out side with barbecue. So peaceful to sit in an evening. The accommodation is central to most attentions in Cornwall. We visited lands end, Minack theatre and St Michaels Mount. We also visited St Ives and Penzance. We also had a good meal at the pub up the road called The North Inn. People were friendly and nice atmosphere in there. So much so we went there 3 times out of our 7 day stay. Would recommend the Sunday dinner it was lovely. We would also recommend the Chinese Take away from St Just, called the Red Star . This holiday was one we will never forget, a family of four with two teenagers and we all had an amazing time. I would highly recommend this accommodation you feel so welcome, nothing was too much to ask and you feel the extra safety of electric gate on entry. Great value for your money. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Diane and stew so much for our lovely stay, we hope to be back with you soon.

PolandOne of the best apartments I have ever been to. Great location in a small, peacefull city in Cornwall (great for going both to the north and south of Cornwall). There is everything you may need in the kitchen, the host is very helpful and friendly, the nearby lighthouse is great for admiring stunning sunsets and the beach is just wonderful. There is also a busstop for Land's End Coaster so you don' even need to take your car. You can relax outside on the terrace and the cafe and pub are just around the corner. The bedrooms are quite small but the views and the kitchen and living room make up for it. I'm sure I will be back. Highly recommend this place. The photos on Booking do not show how great it is!

Diane and Stew are fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome, even recommending some places to visit and where to eat. We stayed for 4 nights and is an amazing central location for visiting lots of places in deepest west Cornwall, such as the Minack Theatre, St. Michaels Mount and St. Ives. The property has been converted to a very high standard, with clearly a lot of thought and effort put into the design and facilities available. It was very clean, well kept and had some lovely touches making you feel on holiday. With a main living room area, kitchen space, two double bedrooms, a main bathroom and en-suite shower room, there was so much space for a small family or two couples. There were also a few local pubs to choose from within walking distance that served good hot food and a Spar shop for you to pick up any essentials. It was very quiet, secure with electric gates and felt so peaceful. Finally, Diane and Stew made it extra special for us with a cream tea🥰. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more; thank you both!!
