    Nothing

Location, staff, room, food, room size and bed size. We had room 8 which had fantastic views of harbour, seafront of Minehead and across to Wales

The pub is very old and has character. It does look dated and the decor is old. It was a pleasant surprise when we got to our room as this was fresh, clean and modern. There were a couple of maintenance issues as the toilet seat was loose, the hinge on the room door was broken and there was no hand towel or bath mat.

The room was very clean and had lovely views. The staff were very friendly, attentive and polite. The food was great.

My window in my room could not be shut and it was quite chilly in the evenings. Breakfast (although free) started quite late (so the hiking started late due to this). It also took a very long time to make. I had pancakes on both days and waited 40 mins on the first day for it (unfortunately wasn't warm by the time it had arrived), and nearly an hour on the second day. Not ideal. Staff were also busy so were not able to welcome me initially to stay there.

The room was spacious, quiet - away from the pub noise. Comfortable bed. Large private bathroom and toilet. Wardrobe with hangers, plus a dresser. Tea, coffee, hot choc, biscuit and kettle provided in room. Lamp also present in room. Location was great for the hiking chosen over this weekend.

My bedroom was right above the kitchen/restaurant, so I heard them take beer barrels out and emptying the bins during my stay.

Great location. Close to amenities in Minehead but also far enough away so you can't hear Butlins. Great place to stay if you are planning on exploring the local areas.

    All good.

Breakfast was great. All the staff were so friendly and professional. Considering how old the building is the inside was very well maintained and comfortable. Certainly stay here again if in the area (we live over 200 miles away in Lincolnshire.

Unfortunately the shower in our room didn't work. We were informed at the end of our stay that we should have pulled the cord in the corner of the bathroom, but it wasn't obvious...

Perfect spot for starting your walk on SW coast path. Good pub food, quite busy so I recommend booking a table in advance. Room was ok for a one night stay.

I stayed in order to go boat fishing on the day after my stay. I would stay here again in future if we had a later sail time but often we go out too early to be able to get a cooked breakfast at the Old Ship and on those occasion i would stop elsewhere.

    Check in fast and easy

Service was slow in the bar and food orders during the day as only one person serving drinks, taking orders and serving meals. He did well though. Service was good for the evening meal we had. Food was ok. Breakfast was good. I would consider staying there again. Very dog friendly which we always appreciate

The location was excellent on the end of the bay overlooking the sea. We stayed in room 8 with a balcony and seating. Rooms very spacious comfortable and clean with good facilities.
