Not really what I expected. The place needs updating quite badly. Carpets were extremely well worn and tired, walls and doorways were peeling and dirty. The whole place was quite messy and tired. The room we had was fairly clean, but broken shower door, mo.d in areas around the shower and floor. Kettle was extremely badly stained and the compliments /tea making area was in the dark corner by the door with no lighting. WiFi is non existent, signal is very poor. . Very noisy outside in the road, and had to call out around midnight to ask a group of people standing below our window to be quiet as it was disturbing our sleep. Food was not of good quality, certainly not value for money. Poorly cooked and not very fresh. Breakfast was OK, but not great. Generally this establishment needs some serious updating and better management, it looks and feels like a shipwreck more than a ship aground.

    Location.

Although great views, significant noise until late from the outside tables - appreciate can’t be helped - but some consideration for those staying would’ve been nice.

Huge room overlooking the harbour. Beautiful. Free parking around the pub. Great selection of food and drinks. Breakfast was good.

Not much sound proofing so it was very noisy when anyone walked down the corridor. Room key was rather old and had to rattle it around in the lock to get in.

Charming pub, with a nice view of the old harbour.

Crowded restaurant and bar, noise outside late at night, but a busy pub so fair enough. Would stay again.

Great location especially for walkers as close to coastpath. Comfortable bed and good food

The room’s doors and corridors require some upgrades.

Just one night here and it was delightful. The room was clean and as described on the websites. Cooked breakfast included, just the one you need before a day hiking at the Exmore National Park. The restaurant has such a great pub atmosphere with good food.

I loved it, some travellers might not like how dated some of it feels but that's the history of the building and its charm. It is perfectly clean and functioning, I love it

general decor along stairs ways a but on the shabby side and in need of updating.

Although they did not provide the twin beds, the room we had was very nice - with harbour views and a pretty balcony. The general decor of the place was a little shabby and in need of updating but our room was I think one of their best. Breakfast was more than adequate.

    Nothing

This is a really nice, traditional pub with excellent, friendly staff and in a lovely location on the harbourside. The room was simply furnished but we liked it and found it very comfortable. Standards of cleanliness were high. We decided to eat at the pub and the food was very good quality and well-cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The dark room (painted navy blue) despite the tall windows, the lack of air-conditioning, it was SO hot this weekend. Room wasn't cleaned during our 4 night stay but we did reject cleaning once as we were in, but lack of towel change was strange. Plug sockets weren't in a good place eg no plugs by the bed. Bathroom could do with an update and shower pressure was lacking. And the wardrobe wasn't long enough for dresses so I'm assuming it was a child's wardrobe...why?!

The ambience, the vibe. the location overlooking the harbour is lovely. It wasn't overly noisy or busy despite the location, however schools aren't out yet so possibly would get a lot busier. The bed was large and comfy, the room a great size. Nice tea making facilities.

The breakfast was very poor, with no fruit or yoghurt and a meagre cooked option that took a long time to get to our table, and then was cold. The phone reception was very patchy downstairs but Ok in our room upstairs.

The hotel is a little dilapidated and tired, but the staff were very friendly. The location next to the small harbour was good and it was nice to walk along the seafront.
