Check out time advertised as 11am, this was the main reason we booked due to an early morning dawn survey. The host kicked us out at 10

Lovely historied building. The staff, a mother daughter duo, were incredibly welcoming and even gave a brief overview of the history of the building. The room was lovely.

No blinds in the small window but a minor inconvenience. As the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

It was interesting. The family were welcoming and friendly. I would stay there again

    Nothing whatsoever.

Wonderful area and beautiful building. Breakfast was a simple but delicious continental with fresh fruit salad. I'd have liked to spend more time chatting with Jane's mother who was an absolute delight, sadly only got to briefly say hi to Jane.

Bath had shower but no curtain and you couldn't stand up in the bath. Couldn't find remote for tv. Biggest gripe of all, you could only lock your room from the inside so we had to take all our valuables with us when we went out.

it was a bit difficult to shower as it was over the bath which was in the eaves , so we couldn’t stand up. However, we weren’t concerned as the house was over 600 years old and so full of character, that the inability to shower properly was offset by the amazing building

I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast - cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and toast with jam and marmalade The location was in the countryside but only 15 minutes from the NEC.

We can't think of anything really, though the signage for The Old Rectory was difficult to spot, particularly as it was twilight when we arrived. Perhaps some better lighting at the entrance especially while it gets dark early!

Loved the querkiness of the property. Were welcomed and treated like friends. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt at home.

The draught in the room, the fact that as a single woman the bedroom door didn't lock, and there was seat that I could use for working. The lack of TV and internet took me back a few years, interesting, and quaint

The breakfast was mixed fruit, yoghurt, toast, and instant coffee - it was fine - 2nd morning I had a pastry instead of toast.
