Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy only two criticisms would be; No wardrobe, so ok for one night or so, but a few nights stay you might want to get your clothes out and on to hangers. Breakfast was continental in the room, which was fine, we ate on the decking with family, but need to think about alternative options on cereal as wife has nut allergy and the options were all nut based. Maybe plain yoghurts option (personally hate strawberry yoghurt 😉) Edit to feedback. Booking.Com shows the dislikes first, these were minor and certainly didn't affect our stay!!
The pods were great, nice feature and very warm and accommodating. We went with the inlaws so having breakfast on the decking was great. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Staff were lovely and very helpful Used the hotel as a base for the Sturminster Newton Cheese festival and overall we had a nice weekend Thanks guys!

United Kingdomwould have been nice to have a small table to eat from inside but weather was ok to sit out so not a big issue. these pods sit behind the pub so you don’t get a view as such but they have set it up very nicely so it’s still very pleasant to sit outside.
so compact but he everything you needed, lovely shower too. staff were lovely too.

United KingdomOnly one thing, more of a recommendation, maybe a pin pad gate to the pods, my partner and I were sitting outside after our meal, so was quite late, but children kept coming over, screaming and being loud, so a little bit extra privacy would have been nice, other than that, absolutely flawless place.
The pods were great, spacious, but small enough to not feel overwelmed in it. Pub was great too, proper traditional pub but with restaurant standard food

United KingdomBreakfast is provided in a fridge located inside the Pod. We weren't keen on the rather stodgy croissants. Perhaps an alternative would be better?
The Pod accommodation was comfortable and offers a unique experience! The Old Inn is in a very quiet village location.and the menu is imaginative.

United KingdomThat you had to request having your room serviced and the table and chairs outside needed replacing. Also the step outside the room needed repairing and was quite dangerous.
The breakfast was fine especially after having a large meal the evening before

United KingdomStore cupboard and bathroom under sink cupboard FULL of proprietors cleaning products, loo rolls etc. this left no where to put suit case or personal items. Top of fridge used for kettle, coffee machine, mugs, plates, bowls etc. making it a bit concerning that when opening the fridge door the items could fall off and break could also damage top of fridge which would spoil the look of the accommodation ! Personally think it would be good idea for proprietor to spend a night or two there to see what is meant . It would be nice to stay more than one night if the above was arranged differently.
A really lovely looking place to stay. Continental breakfast in fridge very good, bed comfortable, clean, soap/shampoos good. Had own private space from other 2 pods.

United KingdomAs mentioned above would have preferred cooked breakfast but understand why this is so much easier for the pub.
Lovely location. Had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely. Pod was well laid out inside and had everything we needed for our stay. We are both tall so felt a little cramped due to shape of pod ,but most most people would be fine. Attentive staff and lovely welcome. Great spacious shower room. Would have preferred a cooked breakfast but continental fine for two nights. A lovely stay and would recommend.

United KingdomA very nice set up with 3 pods behind the pub in a pretty village. Everything was provided including coffee maker and fridge with a lovely selection of food and drink left in the fridge for breakfast. I wasn't there for dinner but the restaurant and menu looked very nice. The staff were very helpful and arranged to send a shawl I left behind.

United KingdomWhen I booked the breakfast availability wasn’t clear but I emailed and they replied promptly. The pod was lovely but unfortunately we had a bit of a problem with ants in our bathroom. When we went to have our breakfast which was already put in our fridge we had Croissants, jam, fruit juice, cereal, milk and yoghurt but no butter or sugar and both yoghurts had nuts in which my husband can’t eat. The fridge also made a weird popping noise on and off throughout the night
Checked in and shown to our pod, had a lovely lunch and then went out for the day. Returned to have dinner in the main restaurant which was very good and good value for money

United KingdomThere was no hairdryer, I had my own but maybe there could be one in the room, just a thought. Unfortunately our coffee machine hadn't been cleaned, there was old water in it and cold coffee in the bit where the pod goes. We couldn't use it, bit disappointing as we thought it was a really nice touch. There were also two sachets of instant coffee and TeaPigs tea bags so it's not like we didn't have a drink but it would have been nice to have a fresh coffee. The Inn does close for a couple of hours in the afternoon and at 10 of an evening which didn't bother us at all but our neighbours we a bit disappointed when they returned from a wedding and were unable to have a nightcap, so just a little thing to bear in mind. These are all minor points and did not ruin the stay all.
The location was great and easy to find. The pods are excellent and in a really lovely and very pretty setting behind the Inn. The bed was very comfortable and the linen good quality fresh and crisp. The bathroom was surprisingly big, with a large shower with both a regular shower head and a rain shower! We ate in the restaurant attached to the Inn, the service was quick, the food delicious and excellent value for money. We stayed on a Wednesday which was steak night, and had two steaks and a bottle of wine for £30. We would recommend a stay here and we would definitely stay again!
