They are undergoing some changes / upgrades,hence the 9.0 although these did not affect me in the slightest. It would have been 10 otherwise, will be great to see what they have done If I get the chance to go back.

The staff were great. I was expecting to arrive well after 10pm. I spoke with the staff at OAK INN, they were extremely accommodating. they called me twice whilst en route to understand eta. I actually made it a few minutes after 10 but everything worked smoothly, so appreciative of their understanding. Great breakfast, Room was beautiful, huge bed extremely welcoming.

We felt that the hosts really put in the hard yards to make our stay a most enjoyable experience so we only have positives to say about the Oak Inn.

Sunday lunch very good and a tasty breakfast. Great choice of real ales. Good location and very friendly staff making our stay very enjoyable and will return.

There was literally nothing not to like, other than, not staying for longer and exploring the fabulous countryside, surrounding the Inn location.

If ever there was a reminder not to book with corporate hoteliers, the Oak Inn is it. It's simply not possible to deliver the incredible level of personal service that the Oak delivers in a 50+ facility. From the moment we arrived, we felt like returning family (even though it was our first visit). The warmth, decor and ambiance of the pub was immediately relaxing. the ease of check in and not having to complete admin after a long trip, was superb and being shown personally to the room was fantastic. The facilities in the room were excellent and cleanliness, temperature control etc of the highest order. We had a superb Dinner in the restaurant and great early breakfast spot we could get on road, all attended to with friendliness and knowledge by the owners. We will definitely be going back and could not have been more impressed.

Breakfast very good, staff also well worth a positive mention all round a credit to the pub. Evening meal at the top end of a pub restaurant we enjoyed it. It is worth a mention that we stayed here three years ago and at that time the food was even better! Rooms have kept well and are comfortable, very clean whole place welcoming. This was a 69th Birthday treat and much enjoyed.

The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they really went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the food was most enjoyable. Good selection of local beers and ciders on offer too. Chris and Heather generate a great atmosphere in the pub and we hope to see them again in the future.

All Staff were amazing -responding to emails before arrival and then really friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. Room spotlessly clean and evening food and breakfast were great -would definitely stay again!

We were the last people in the bar area even though it wasn't that late as most customers had been eating and had already left. We felt that they wanted to lock up so we retired to our room as we felt they wanted to close up and weren't keen on us staying in the bar. (a very minor point).

A lovely country pub with a warm welcome and comfy surroundings. The owner was very kind in providing us with his best wine at a reduced price, which was very generous and extremely good! the evening meal and breakfast were both very good quality, well presented and very tasty. The room was big and comfortable with great views over the surrounding fields.

As smokers it would have been good to have a light on the balcony.
