Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Everything! Beautiful views in a lovely location. The cottage itself was immaculate and exceeded all expectations. The hosts thought of everything and the little touches made all the difference. Arriving late after a 3 hour drive to have some bits to eat, milk in the fridge and tea/coffee/hot choc was so lovely! The accommodation was cosy but plenty big enough for 2 people and it was to such a high spec. The hosts themselves are really what makes it such a lovely stay. So welcoming, chatty and always around without being at all intrusive. I just can’t recommend The Nook enough, we can’t wait to come back already!

United KingdomNothing to dislike at all.
The location, the hosts and the accommodation were all outstanding. The cottage was spotlessly clean and so well designed - just perfect. The additional items provided (breakfast cereals, crumpets, milk etc.,) were of such a high quality it made the stay so welcoming from the get-go.

United KingdomHonestly couldn't fault it, we would both come back without any hesitation.
Amazing location, feeling of being remote but you have a choice of supermarkets all within 15 minutes drive. The lake behind the farm is very picturesque, especially when raining! The farm cat - so lucky to have all that space to explore! Super comfy bed, best nights sleep in ages with no noise to keep you awake. Cosy living space but has everything you need to cook your own meals plus a smart TV to enjoy in the evening. Nice thought with juice, butter, tea, coffee and cereals left for you to use. Oh and the hosts kindly provided a space for my motorbike next to the tractor so it didn't get lonely and rained on :) Thoroughly reccomend

Booked this for my boyfriends birthday. Beautiful location and beautiful cottage. Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Great hosts on site to welcome us were very friendly and helpful. They had also left milk, juice and cereals in cottage for us which was very kind and a lovely touch. Would highly recommend we will definitely be visiting again.

United KingdomNothing! It’s a gorgeous, cosy little place and very clean. Really well designed throughout, as even though it’s a petite little place, the space is well utilised and we had everything we needed for our short break away.
We loved our stay at the Nook, the views are fab and it’s so peaceful watching the sheep in the surrounding fields. We come from a very busy town in cheshire with lots of constant traffic and noise, so it was nice to be out in the country with some peace and quiet. The variety of breakfast choices were a lovely added extra, along with all the other small touches throughout the property. The guest info book was great for recommendations for places to eat, a few weren’t open for food on the Monday and Tuesday which was a shame but we know for next time if we’re over that way again. We checked out the Barley Mow inn Pub upon recommendation and they didn’t disappoint. We had a lovely meal and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. It’s just a short drive away from The Nook, so we can highly recommend there for a meal during your stay. The Milano Cafe in Oswestry town was a great little place to stop off for a bite to eat too whilst we were shopping. We can recommend checking out the Pistyll Rhaeadr water fall if you’re looking to do some exploring, it was amazing to see up close. All in all, we loved our stay here. We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival by Zoe and Phil and any questions we had were responded too promptly and nothing was too much trouble. We appreciated the in depth directions from different areas, as myself and my mum aren’t very good when it comes to country lanes, but with their clear instructions we got there really easily off the main road. We will certainly be back in the future and recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay if they are visiting the area :)
