A kettle in the room would have been nice.

Nice pub in a good rural location with parking outside. Good pub food and great breakfast the next day. Friendly helpful staff who were happy to do our breakfast a little earlier than their usual times as my husband had a long walk to do the next day.

The stairs, they lean forward so it’s difficult to climb for infirm people.

Has a nice atmosphere but with mod cons in old world setting..

suggestion only as the property was ideal size and great location . A few more tea towels or inform visitors they aren’t on site. consider installing flyzapper in the kitchen to reduce the flies but it doesn’t stop you having a fab time . it has everything you need . thanks again

location . roomy, authentic . the bedrooms were very clean and comfy and plenty safe car parking ideal for several families who have dogs .

Lovely traditional old inn, extremely welcoming and cosy, very friendly staff. The room was pristine, comfortable bed with quality linens. We had to rush off in the morning so they prepared us bacon butties to go.

One of the local beers is an acquired taste.🤣

Laurie was lovely .we only stayed for one night, but we felt like old friends by the time we left. He was extremely accommodating of our dogs. Really thoughtful lighting the fire for us and drying our walking boots, he even played the music we liked. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We didn't end up staying. It was closed when we got there, he blamed booking.com for incorrect pricing/times/information. He clearly didn't want us to stay there and wasn't ready for us so we ended up having to drive home. He was rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. Awful experience!

Shower was temperamental but I understand this is due to be changed so this wouldn't prevent me from staying again.

A fabulous 2 night stay at The New Inn 1730. Breakfasts and evening meal were great with the added bonus of a Sunday roast that was scrummy. Room suited us perfectly as friends on a walking trip with a double bed in one part of the room and an additional room with the single bed and ensuite. Warm welcome from the host each time we saw him - thank you Laurie. We will definitely revisit in the future. Louise
