The room I had didn't have a light working above the shower and there were big watermarks on all surfaces. Fridge didn't work. Temperature of room was very humid and no air conditioning control. Walls were paper thin could hear man' speaking in next door room.The main bedroom light was not very bright even after turning on biggest setting. For an expensive room I'd expect perfection.

The style decor and location of the property is great. The staff were really always excellent and helped me. Tea trays and biscuits in room great as were breakfast and dinner menu. The lounged bar and reading rooma and conservatory were great

Didn’t have enough experienced staff. Bar/restaurant slow service as one person covering both areas. Reception had young staff unable to handle problems…the room safe didn’t work but receptionist unable to help as he was only staff member on duty. Had to take valuables with me until midday when he tried to fix problem.

There was no draft beers on tap only expensive little bottles that you had two buy two of every time, so we went to the bar around the corner

Instead of £82 we paid £210 without breakfast inc, as it was also festival weekend, overly inflated we thought.

Very nice welcoming and helpful staff, particularly the receptionist. Breakfast really good, perfect eggs Benedict! Would opt for a bigger room though than Cozy another time.

My only recommendation would be to look at ‘blacking out’ light in the room at night. The combination of fire exit green light and light coming through ventilation system meant that the room was barely dark at night.

Hot water delivery was slightly erratic in the room.

Great location in a lovely wide road away from the traffic but still easy to walk into the town or shops and restaurants. Added bonus of parking on site at a reasonable daily rate , leave the car and walk as mainly flat. Great breakfast and bar was spacious and light with a lovely terrace.

If I had not got an up grade I would have struggled to get into the bath / shower due to height

Stylish hotel, bar and conservatory were really nice and the cocktails were fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast too, really well cooked and fresh quality ingredients. The room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable.

You could hear everything that is happening in the corridor. Which was fine as was occasional passers. However, a dog next door was barking during the night. Earplugs helped but not completely. £15 for a 1 hour later checkout is a bit too much in my opinion. I would have willingly paid to stay until 2pm as there was a direct train to London at 3pm, but paying £45 for that is too much.

I liked the design, amazing location, beautiful building, rooms are a little bit 60-70s vibe. I actually liked that it was warm in the room and I could open a window for some fresh air. Black out curtains, comfortable bed, pillows.

Whilst we very much appreciated the room upgrade (we were in room 215), the bed in the room was made up of two single beds pushed together, but apparently not fixed together, so unless you laid in the middle of each mattress, you'd fall down the gap in the middle as the mattresses would separate. We were there for just one night, but had it been longer, would have asked for a different room. The lighting was a bit bizarre too, and not sure all spotlights were working in the bathroom, but again for the short time we were there, it wasn't worth asking to move.

Lovely venue, friendly and helpful staff on reception, tasty breakfast options, and we were given a complimentary room upgrade.

The air conditioning in our bedroom was difficult to set. We couldn’t regulate it below 19 degrees and therefore we found the room very warm. If the window could open up more that would have been ideal.

The location was great. We enjoyed dining in the restaurant each night. The food and service was excellent. It was nice to stay in a lovely old building for a change. Thank you for your hospitality!
