It is mainly my fault for not noticing when booking my accommodation that The Market Inn is, of course, a pub. It was very lively on the date of my arrival and a day after (Friday and Saturday night), but otherwise it was fine.

I was well looked after and had everything I needed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

My 2nd stay here. This place has so much character! The staff in the pub downstairs were very friendly. I love that breakfast is delivered to your room! Very central Brighton in The Lanes, right opposite the Pavilion. Very reasonably priced.

What a find! Everything was amazing - the room, the staff, the location, the breakfast, the pub downstairs! Would definitely stay again. A short walk to the Brighton dome.

Really comfy room and bed. Fab location right at entrance to Lanes. The rooms are above a great pub which is a huge bonus. Staff super friendly. Breakfast was amazing too. Top marks!

Only very small details such as no decaf coffee/tea options in the room? But I didn’t ask to get any, so this probably isn’t a full dislike as such.

A really lovely room over a busy friendly pub at the edge of the Lanes. Very characterful. Chosen because of location close to the Brighton Dome ( it is!) Staff super helpful if needed.

The location can be a little loud as it's in the lanes, city centre.

The staff were amazing and welcoming, they made checking in and out simple and we're able to hold my bags up arrival and till my train after. The location is great for exploring the city and the space is comfortable

A warm welcome when arriving in the morning and the offer to store my luggage, but my room was ready and I could use it right away. Also to fulfil my wish for a decaf coffee for breakfast – it was excellent quality.

It was noisy during the night, and it was low season, so I cannot imagine staying here in high season. Double glazing would help alleviate this to some extent, but given the location (among many pubs and restaurants, plus it was a Friday night), noise was to be expected, if not appreciated.

The location and the pub itself was top rate. We didn't eat the breakfast (because we had other plans).

Other half says he'd have liked some marmalade!

Great location to explore Brighton. Our room was spacious and clean, and staff were helpful. Special mention to the landlord who worked a long night over NYE and still brought us our breakfast at 8:30am. Good breakfast, and we loved that this was served in our room. Friendly pub downstairs. Worth noting NYE was a noisy night, not surprisingly, so if guests are after a peaceful location on busy weekends, this isn't for you.

No complaints, just found the stairs to our room little steep but that said not a problem.

We had a brilliant experience staying st the Market Inn. The staff were great, food excellent. We had a an evening meal which was outstanding and having breakfast brought to our room was fantastic. We will definitely return and to anyone looking for a small but welcoming place you can't go wrong. Thanks again for your lovely accomadation.
