Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe wifi wasn't brilliant, and the bed could have been more comfortable, but great overall. The bar also wasn't open while I was there over the weekend
The Manor Hotel is a great budget hotel for a short trip to Llandudno. It is towards the end of the promenade at the far end from the pier, but the walk to the centre of Llandudno is short and pleasant along the beach. The single room I had was small but comfortable, with a reasonably comfy bed and a good shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, giving some recommendations for where to eat and drink; they were also welcoming of my canine companion!

AustraliaNo towels/toiletries on the first 2 days. Fire alarm was going off (fault) for hours and there was no staff on site and nobody answered the emergency phone so I had to deal with it myself. There was a very difficult guest in the hotel - verbally assaulting other guests, kept propping the main door to the hotel open and swearing at anyone who closed it, etc. Not the fault of the hotel, but guests should maybe be aware that this is an unstaffed hotel and so things like this can occue.
The price was appropriate for the location & facilities - basic and fairly clean

United KingdomSome of the walls in the bedroom were marked. There was dust on the sink. It was stated that the hotel had its own parking but it did not. The breakfast was basic and was expecting a full English not continental. I requested that I was bringing a dog and you replied saying this was fine and would not be a charge. When we arrived we were told to pay £10 extra per night
The staff were friendly. Good location

United Kingdombecause we already paid way over the value and they wanted to add £10 each per day for a cheap continental breakfast but they was happy to not charge when we brought it to there attention. We got charged an extra £100 for family room because we have 4 month old and there was no cots available because there was one other baby in the hotel, so this means only one cot available, our son is far to small for a single bed and the double bed was to small for the 3 of us so you can imagine the nights sleep we had. The family room was the booking system with booking.com and that should be sorted by both parties. The hotel is very outdated and needs alot of maintenance new furniture ect so I wouldn’t say 3 star but put the aside it does have lovely views of the sea to keep you going. they tried to negotiate charging dogs we only have 2 tiny Pomeranians but when you have paid £172 per night for a what should be £50 per night , we was not paying anymore. We stayed 2 nights! Need to also mention booking.com have all there distance in kilometres is all out of accuracy, so when it says 20 mins please add another hour or do your own navigation search. This meant we was an hour away from where we needed to be very inconvenient also.
Reasonably clean in the room and friendly staff, had kettle , hairdryer and enough the tea coffee sugar ect .. but already paid way over the value and they wanted to add £10 each per day for a cheap continental breakfast but they was happy to not charge when we brought it to there attention. Lovely view of the sea

United Kingdomn/a green tea would have been nice. no complaints really.
We didn't have breakfast. It wasn't on the plan. We arrived at 8.50pm and wanted to go for dinner out. the host let us know that it might be tricky to find somewhere open, which surprised us, never having passed through Llandudno before ( apparently all kitchens close at 8.30pm!! ) He was most helpful in trying his best to find a place and although that wasn't possible, he arranged for us to find a great takeaway for us to go and get and to eat in our room.

United KingdomThe licence for the bar had not come through for our stay so we couldn't have a drink. The continental breakfast items, crumpets, pancakes and bread were on the bar with clingfilm covering them and were clearly there for a couple of days. Breakfast was only available for an hour, assume when the staff member started work. The reception toilet was not very clean and there was no and dryer or hand towels, the electrics in the bedroom are all run from an extension lead, my aunties electrics tripped whilst there and the lady on duty had to the owner to locate the fuse board. There is only a member of staff there for a few hours and it does feel a little unsafe, I had no WiFi so could not make outgoing calls, as the signal was poor. The furniture in the bar area has had covers put over what are clearly dated and not the most clean. It is very clearly early days for the hotel.
The member of staff on duty was so polite and professional. It was her first shift, and nothing was of any trouble to her. The towels and bedding were new and clean. The mattress and pillows were really comfortable. There was a hairdryer in the room. There was a soap and hand-wash. There was a working TV. The lamp worked at the side of the bed. The shower was warm and adequate. When I did call the number of the hotel, I always received an answer, and I received clear instructions, and the people were polite and professional. The location on the sea front was exceptional.

United KingdomCabinet in family room not secure which wouldn’t be a problem if my children weren’t toddlers. One of my sons pulled the drawers and it ended up falling on him (some accidents can’t be avoided and they’re like lightning!) Room didn’t have any cold water in the bathroom tap and there was a rattling noise throughout the night. Also, toilet very noisey when flushed which isn’t ideal in a family room at the night.
The owner very attentive and couldn’t do enough. The property location was amazing!!!

United KingdomWas attending a Paul Weller concert at the venue centre on the sea front , so wanted somewhere close to that . The minor hotel was less than a 5 min walk so was ideal . Single room , nice and tidy, staff very friendly . Only stayed one night and only stayed in the room to sleep really , so can't comment on any of the other part of the hotel as was out bright and early in the morning . Was ideal accommodation for my needs. Would stay again.
