We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The breakfast was great and the dining options were fantastic, especially the bar menu. Staff were kind, chatty and helpful.

United KingdomThe en-suite bathroom left a bit to be desired, not really enough room for toilet and bidet, made using the toilet a bit awkward.
Very good breakfast and the bar provided good evening meals at the better rate than the restaurant. Good location, bus stop just a few yards away and walking distance from the station. Right on the seafront, giving pleasant views. Friendly staff.

United KingdomThe pillows were rock hard no bounce , the shower wasn’t very powerful , if you needed tea and coffee you had to move the kettle to heat it near the 1 socket in the room and then if you needed the light you had to unplug for the that , no charging points for phones so again the same plug had to be used , the breakfast was very dry think it had been in the hot plates for a long time it was only warm to eat . The lift was like something out of the twilight zone and could only get two people In at a time .
We had a lovely view but needs updating , pink bath white toilet,old dated wardrobes and carpets .

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very dated, and could do with a refurb. We were a little disappointed at first, however, dinner was absolutely delicious. I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten, and the waiting staff were fantastic. We would definitely stay there again if visiting.

United Kingdom1) Turn off 90% of the “musac” like being consistently in a “lift”, it’s not relaxing g it’s highly annoying esp at 0800 breakfast 2) dated decore but clean 3) disabled bays partially blocked by potted trees trees (either side of main entrance) who need to be open the doors fully 4) not sufficient disabled parking bays (just 2) no policing of who parks there it seems ☹️

United KingdomThe room I thought I had booked wasn't available. We were in a room with net curtains, no real view due to that. The room was very dark and old fashioned. We downgraded to a similar room we had the previous year and asked to have the difference in price made available as a breakfast included add on as the £36 per day difference almost covered it. We got 2 days of breakfast instead of the 4 due to lack of interest from the staff member we had communicated with. We had to ask a different member of staff 2 days in so lost out on £72.

Excellent choice of breakfast, self service. Lovely view of the sea from bedroom, newly decorated and long overdue. Room was clean. Lovely clean, new towels provided. Tea/coffee in room. Discovered hair dryer and fan hidden inside wardrobe.

United KingdomAwful pillows, this has been highlighted in previous reviews too. Also the hotel had double booked us so had long delay at check in whilst they sorted out alternative rooms and then had to move after first night. The receptionist on duty was excellent though.
Excellent location with stunning views of the sea and Torquay. Stones throw to the ocean . Excellent food both in the bar and restaurant.

United KingdomThe parking at the hotel is a nightmare as there are functions every day at the hotel and if you take your car out for the day you wont get it back into a parking space again. Reserved parking for guests is necessary.
Very pet friendly. They set up a breakfast table in the bar area so that we could take our dog with us when we had breakfast. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a bar meal each night of our stay and the food was good with a good selection on the menu.
