Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only let down unfortunately was the noise coming from the heating system,it woke us about 6am and continued until 8ish constant tapping noise which got louder. We decided to upgrade to a superior room which we loved so it put a bit of a dampener on our experience.
Location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities great.Breakfast good choice and service good.

United KingdomWhere to begin...? I was really looking forward to staying here The first room was awful Noisy pipes the train station right outside the window We went to find dinner as the hotel prices were expensive Took ages to find somewhere decent that was open We finally got to bed about half 9 By 945 We were being moved rooms To thr only free room a recently refurbished room It was bigger and much quieter with only the hum of the lift on the odd occasion Not enough hot drink selection or milk Those cups should be mugs and white mugs, not black Can't see what you're making The bathroom is dated , cracks in the ceramics had a shower curtain, should have glass And nowhere to hang towels after a shower Staff the first night were average Second day much better and Sunday pretty good Definitely not worth the price we paid for 2 nights and will not stay there again Comfortable beds and Fluffy Towels were the single best parts Everything else was subpar Have stayed worse places but also much better places for a lot less price
The bed pillows and towels

United KingdomBreakfast staff go through the motions but don't appear to be too thrilled with life. The only negative was the buffet style cooked breakfast does always seem to be a little dried ,like it had sat for a while.
I like the convienece of this hotel and the parking option. We have stayed before ,pre lockdown, and find it meets all our needs. Reception staff are welcoming and rooms have always been comfortable and clean.

United KingdomNo faults that we were faced with.
Very clean and welcoming reception area. Real close to rail station at Lime Street. Luke made us feel very welcome on arrival. Room was very good. Spotless. Reported a couple of 'wee' issues on check-out (i.e. to tighten a door hinge and inspect a slightly loose window handle) - room 414. A few more 'real' tea-bags in room would be welcome. Nice cookies supplied and 2 bottles water was a lovely touch. Never tried coffee machine. Trying to squeeze the toiletries out of bottles did prove challenging. Ended up unscrewing lids. Ground floor restaurant looked fantastic and very posh. Having the separate entrance to Castaway bar is priceless. The offer to purchase dressing gown robes was 'nice' at £35. Bed was comfy. We would have preferred a few more, slightly firmer pillows. Saying that, slept like a log!

United KingdomThe noise. The vents (at least we think they’re largely responsible) made it sound like the windows were open. Despite being on the fourth floor we could hear people’s conversations outside very clearly, which also meant the fireworks being set off in the car park and train station announcements from next door were all VERY LOUD and sounded like they were in the room often causing us to jump when we could hear voices and noises that sounded like they were inside with us which impacted how well we slept and could rest (my partner had had surgery at a local hospital so we were there to rest for a couple of days before travelling home).
The staff were all brilliant. The staff at breakfast couldn’t do enough for you. The friendliest we’ve come across. Didn’t even give us evils when we waltzed in just before the end of the time slot and were the last people there. Daisy on reception and her love of Michael Jackson was definitely an experience. Please mention him if you see her. It’ll be the highlight of your trip. Beds were lovely and comfortable, though could have done with spare pillows in the wardrobe not just an extra duvet.

United KingdomSingle glazed windows that you could literally hear people's conversations from 4 floors up. Fan in the room would have been handy, if even on level one It didn't sound like a jet engine starting up. Also, after having paid nearly £400 for two nights, slightly miffed that jobs worth woman on reception would not allow us two more coffee pods for the following morning and told us that you only get two pods for the duration of your stay however long you're staying! This attitude totally let them down massively.
Lovely hotel and exceeded the expectations from the look of it from the car park. Lovely lay out and rooms decorated well
