Beds firmer than my liking but nothing that would stop me rebooking when in area

A very nice quiet place to stay half hour from Luton Airport. If that way again would definitely stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We did not find bed very comfortable so did not sleep as well as we would have liked.

Pub was very good as was the food. Room had everything you needed and it was nice that it had its own terrace. Staff were friendly and on the whole we had a good stay.

Bed was uncomfortable. The kettle in the room was too big to fit in the small basin so couldn’t fill it up.

The food was good and the staff friendly.

Though the bed was a good size, the mattress needs changing as you could feel the inner springs.

My Room (8) - The space was good, nice bathroom with a lovely shower. Standard facilities of Tea & Coffee, shower products and TV provided. Good Wi-Fi in the room. Breakfast was included and I didn't opt for the full english but had a fabulous scrambled eggs on toast with perfect sausages. There was also pastries and cereals on hand. It's set in a lovely little village and I went for a morning stroll!

There was a leak in our bathroom. The shower arrangements were a bit weird and unsatisfactory. We forgot to mention the leak, so it wasn't fixed, not the fault of the staff, as we didn't mention it.

Food was excellent, but a few items were off the menu. Service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind.

As above....... great difficulty in trying to open the lock on the door of room 4. It was also most difficult in to operate the shower in room 4

Everything about was perfect regarding our 2 day stay at The Knife and Cleaver except for the lock on the door of room 4 and the shower both of which were difficult to operate. We are sure that these problems have been addressed as we mentioned them to the staff on duty before we left. Everyone there were so helpful and friendly and we certainly wish to stay there again. Thank you

Bed wasn't the most comfortable (a couple of springs were felt) and pillows could have been plumper. There is only one shop locally that closes fairly early. Despite the things I didn't like, I would stay again.

Great, friendly staff. Nice that you could open the front door and step into the pub and restaurant who would always accommodate us without booking. Plenty of parking. The accomodation is right opposite the church and it was nice to hear the church bells.

Mattress was a little hard for my liking. That's all.

Nicely decorated, room was clean and tidy. My room was in the annexe building behind the pub, so quieter in the evening than it would be in the pub itself. Food at the pub is great - I had the Gammon and Leek homemade pie with all the trimmings. Reasonably priced, and large portions. Good selection of ales and wines. Breakfast was very good - I had Eggs Benedict, but there were many options. EV charger at the front of the property - only a slow connection, but free.of charge, so I got 130 miles range added overnight FoC. Staff were all friendly, smiley, and happy to help. Really handy for an event at Millbrook Proving Ground.
