Only thing to point out recommend parking on the street, limited at the property difficult to get out when full.. but there is plenty of parking on the main street

Lovely location, comfortable and clean, staff very helpful and friendly, food excellent great service.

Unfortunately the first room we were offered was very disappointing. However after discussion we were moved to a far better room with almost new bed. I suspect it would be worth paying for an upgraded room here.

The restaurant and the food are the highlights. Great personable service and excellent quality food. Extensive menu. Breakfast cooked to order. We were very happy.

The bathrooms were not scrupulously clean, but the rest was good.

The rooms were ready when we checked in, and they were quiet, big enough and had a bath. Great view from a good old fashioned window! The evening meal was fine, and the service very good. Sue, who welcomed us for breakfast, did an excellent job. A nice varied menu was efficiently delivered. The setting is wonderful, with great walks.

Room was spacious and has every thing anyone one would want. The bed was not that brilliant…….a small double, soft mattress ( then again this is down to personal taste)

Superb food both dinner and breakfast. Staff were great, efficient and friendly. Montacute House and grounds well worth the visit…

The shower cubicle sealing needed cleaning in the corners. The tap in the hand basin needed to be turned many times before any water appeared.

The only real downside was the shower room. It needed some care - the black marks/mould need to be removed and the whole room needs a makeover really. The bed was squeaky but comfortable. You need strong arms to open the fire doors!

The location, staff, food and service were great! Perfect for a trip to Montacute House...and dinner afterwards! A quaint inn.

Would have been better to put some dark curtains to avoid the light of sunrise get into the room too early in the morning. Some bathroom stuff should be updated.

Despite the Inn is part of a very ancient location, personnel do its best to keep you comfortable and welcome.

Bathroom needs deep clean and regrouting to remove mould from corners and closure of shower cubicle, and humidity marks from ceiling. But the bathroom was very clean otherwise. Old building so you can hear other guests walking upstairs.

Very kind and helpful staff, comfortable bedroom, cute inn. Warm and clean.

Room was adequate but could do with decoration. There was a bit of mould round the window. Car park on a steep hill, which may not suit any one with mobility issues

Staff very welcoming and chatty. Excellent food, very fresh and breakfast cooked to order. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
