United KingdomThere was some confusion on breakfast, we were told it was a continental breakfast at 8am but in the morning found it was a cooked breakfast at 8am. This was disappointing as we had organised around the 8am start so needed to leave before breakfast however the staff were attentive.
The decor is fantastic and the bathroom facilities top notch. The staff in the evening at check in and in the morning at check out were attentive, would definitely go back. Really comfortable bed, which is the most important part of course! As mentioned below, even though some confusion, on all requests the staff were very helpful where the could be!

Weekday breakfast just a selection of pastries, yoghurt, fruit & cheese, could've done with a cooked breakfast after a long night at the bar before!
Staff were lovely, especially Lara, will and Alisha. V comfortable bed, nice big bath in room aswell as a shower, beautiful decor throughout

United KingdomThe service during the evening meal left a lot to be desired. the food was very good, but I ordered essentially a starter for my main and the server didn’t advise me. also, they made a mistake with my wife’s meal and it showed up about 40 mins after I had finished mine.
The bed was very comfortable and the garden cabin was very peaceful. A very good night sleep. The breakfast was very good

It served breakfast at a more convenient time. To appeal to business travellers an 8.30 start and food served individually to the table is just too late. The grab and go breakfast we offered at checkin wasn’t anything of the sort with a plated continental offering delivered 1 by 1 to waiting tables. The food looked reasonable from what I could see as we left with a pastry wrapped in a napkin (no bags to cater for anyone having to actually grab and go). Other than this the hotel is in a lovely area on the edge of Cookham with plenty of nice looking pubs nearby (and onsite), the rooms are very clean and comfortable (with fridge) and the staff are friendly. Oh and there is an outside pool in summer months. This would be our go to for our weekly overnight stay if they were to bring breakfast forward by half an hr.
