If we didn't like anything, that was us just being picky. Really, it's a great location and fantastic pub with atmosphere and service to compliment.

There is almost nothing to fault. The cottage would benefit from hooks in the front hall (we had nowhere to hang our coats), and it could do with more than two coffee mugs in the kitchen. But these were very minor points, and did not detract from an excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay. We rented the small cottage opposite the pub. It was comfortable, well-equipped, and full of character. Breakfast each morning was exceptional - one of the best cooked breakfasts we've ever had. The pub is dog-friendly, and has a resident dog, which we all loved, especially our children. The staff were friendly and helpful. We explored the village, and also several neighbouring villages, all of which were delightful. We will definitely return.

The area is poor in sightseeing options; there’s nothing nearby to visit. In the kitchen, the cabinets were somewhat dirty, as well as under the bed in the bedroom.

If you want to take a break from civilization, this place meets all the requirements. The pub serves delicious food (dinner + breakfast).

Nothing at all..it was all fabulous...there was even bottled water in the room..

Everything...the room was beautiful and very spacious..the bed was so comfortable..the shower was lovely and big..it was so lovely and quiet..I'm originally from the village and was lovely to go "home"...we ate in the pub too and the food was amazing..Best pub meal I've had in a very long time....and then the breakfast....wow...it was absolutely amazing...didn't need to eat again until dinnertime....I can't recommend the Ibex enough ..10 out of 10...

Second stay at the Ibex and cannot rate it highly enough. We use it as a pre airport stopover, just one hour from Heathrow. So friendly, excellent food and very comfortable room.

We stayed in the house opposite the Inn. The upstairs bedroom has no blinds for the windows. The bedroom would benefit from the addition of a chair and wardrobe, and more places in the shower room for clothes, towels and toiletries.

We stayed in the house opposite the Inn. It was clean, spacious and well-decorated with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was great. Parking wasn't a problem.

The room was great - but a little noisy in the evening. - being over a popular village Pub. But we were so exhausted after a busy day, that we still slept soundly.

The location in Chaddleworth was perfect to tour the area and to visit Highclere Castle. The breakfast each morning was delicious and hearty, friendly and efficiently served by Amanda. Dinners in the evening were a delight! Service by Rosie, Nathan and Steve was top notch and super friendly. I loved how all the locals brought their dogs into the pub! Simply a great experience. Excellent room...upgraded to the chalet apartment a louge diner area, and an upstairs area with a comfortable bed, a great shower room and TV. The Ibex serves fabulous food and local ales served by people who care about the balance between running a local friendly pub suitable for a farmer on their way home and excellent restaurant quality food in an elegant setting. I'll be back again for sure.
