This is our second stay here. It's a lovely relaxing place to visit. JoAnne & Gerry are so friendly & welcoming. The bed is comfy, breakfast delicious & the location is convenient. What more can you ask for.

The Hill is, without a doubt, the best B&B I have ever stayed at in the UK. Every detail, from the decor in the common areas to the rooms (special mention to the softest bed and pillows), bathroom, and amenities, was meticulously thought out—full credit to Jo and Jerry, the kindest and warmest hosts. I cherished my time sitting by the window seat in the Iris Room, enjoying the serene view of the meadow with horses—perfect for unwinding with a book. The garden at the front is a tranquil spot, ideal for relaxing and taking in the fresh air. The location is also fantastic, with a bus stop just outside and Windermere Station within walking distance for those who want to soak in the surrounding beauty. Jo’s homemade hot breakfasts quickly became a highlight of my mornings, and I already miss them! I will definitely be returning, as both The Hill and the Lake District are perfect for a nature retreat.

Jo and Jerry are fantastic hosts. Had a lovely stay at The Hill. Wonderful filling breakfast; cosy warm room; nice hot shower; convenient bus stop is outside the house. Lovely breakfast conservation with the hosts. Highly recommended.

Our Hosts were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The Breakfast was fantastic and the rural location was on a regular bus route, Bus stop across the road. A great two day break.

We stayed in the Iris room, the bed was so comfy, the facilities were clean, and the breakfast was yummy. Gerry was very nice to chat to over breakfast and very knowledgeable about the history of the lakes! We certainly learned a thing or two about Beatrix Potter. Thank you.

A really lovely stay at 'The Hill' b&b. Jo-anne and Jerry were so welcoming. Nice clean rooms and delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Great location too with shop,bus stop and only couple of minutes drive to Windermere. Highly recommend!

The turn into the property was quite tight and we easily missed it on our first night but once we got used to this, this was okay :). Parking sometimes was tricky with very tight space to park.

The property and gardens are beautiful. The transport links are fabulous allowing us to leave the car and travel by bus to various places. Short drive into Windermere which was perfect for evening meals. The room we had was cosy, clean and the amenities were great.

Hosts were lovely, room was clean, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was great. Location was great for us as we had a car but there is a bus stopping nearby regularly. Very nice pub over the road if you want to eat out or just have a drink.

Love the surrounding area. Places to go to quite easily. The bus came in useful to us to get to Grasmere bus links are good.
