The set up is great and perfect for a short stay and close to amenities

Only issue we had was the postcode didn’t get us to the property. Did the old fashioned trick of asking someone and they helped.

The bedroom was spacious, clean and perfect for our family of 5. The staff were exceptional with our kids and helpful throughout.

Piles of washing in the stairs by our room was a little off putting. Music was very loud in the evening playing till gone 11pm with no customers, I had to get up and ask when it was going to switched off, to which the staff did turn it off. Breakfast was disappointing not much in the way of contental or any juice very basic but hot breakfast was good. Parking is not for the nervous very tight but knew that before we arrived.

The room it self was clean and well decorated had everything we needed. ( bed frame was loose and could do with tightening up) Staff were helpful at checking in and out.

There was a smell of drains downstairs at the bottom of the stairs. Was disappointed that around 4 when I was hoping to eat, I was only offered a sandwich option.

Room was comfortable but I did pay £148 for one night.

The room was very cold, tried to get a meal at about 4 pm and was told we could only have a sandwich because there was a Xmas party on. I think when you pay £148 for the night they should accommodate you.

Checking in was a bit odd, staff were really welcoming and kind but it was at the Bar which was very busy hosting what possible was a wake. It was really uncomfortable. Plus there was an odd smell throughout the corridors.

Quiet room, comfy bed, warm with soft lights and radio on when we arrived. Great Breakfast! Staff really cheerful and friendly where ever you saw them and really helpful 😊

No lift, so pack light. The huge number of laundry bags left piled up in a stairwell was an unwelcome sight near our room.

Location suited our needs for a short stay. On-site parking was handy, although you had better check the width of your vehicle against the tight access, we squeezed in but some might not. The hotel was busy with a function when we arrived, but nevertheless staff were friendly and helpful, and accommodated a last-minute dinner reservation. Service at dinner was excellent, as was the food and wine. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful, and again good service and staff very helpful.

The room had not been cleaned as well as it could have been and the bin was still full of the previous occupants rubbish.

Hotel was as expected. Location excellent. Parking just wide enough for car!! Staff were really helpful and cheerful.

Access to the car park was very narrow and scratched my car. They should put protective covering on the particularly tight/jutting out parts...

Although the rooms are clean and very luxurious, it’s not the most modern hotel and not everything is in the best condition. Nevertheless a very nice experience!

Lovely, friendly staff. We arrived after 8.00pm and the lady who greeted us offered to bring drinks up to our room. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The hotel was wonderfully old fashioned in a positive way.

It wasn’t brilliant that there was a wedding party that we weren’t made aware of during check in but luckily it didn’t disturb the kids too much

The first day the breakfast there were three things not available on the full English breakfast as they’d run out . The cleaner wheeled the floor bucket through when we were eating on both days and emptied by the door of the breakfast room and a member of staff with grassy wellies on walked through too . Not the right impression for guests really !

The staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival . They helped with the little things like extra tea bags milk and cups !

The window was precarious in its frame. Breakfast was poorly presented and the team member did not listen to our order and therefore got it wrong. Motorcycle parking was not secure.

We had a nice meal in the restaurant, Lamb was overcooked but ok, and there was no check-back. Friendly welcome.
