Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe were very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. The bath and the mirror in the bathroom were dirty. The fridge was dirty. Dirty utensils had been used and put back in the drawer covered in grease. Our slippers were filthy when we got home. We were also disappointed at what was missing. There was no wardrobe, no bedside tables, no bedside lamps in one of the bedrooms. No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. No bread knife, chopping board or oven gloves. Not enough sockets anywhere. And we were disappointed that various features didn't work. We were warned that the wifi was temperamental and someone was coming to fix it - it never worked while we were there and the planned visit didn't seem to have fixed it. This seemed to mean the TV didn't work. The hairdryer stopped working after a day. The coffee machine was already broken when we arrived. The lamps in the other bedroom were battery operated but the batteries were dead.
The property is on a working farm with cows, horses, chickens and a peacock - and there's a burger bar across the yard. It's close to walking routes and within an easy drive of some fantastic countryside.

United KingdomIt was very difficult to get the shower to a comfortable temperature and the pressure wasn’t great. The host did mention this as we arrived so we weren’t expecting much. Would have been more of an issue if we’d stayed longer. However, could run a decent warm bath so not the end of the world. A curtain on the corridor window would be nice. Would save people from seeing our bare backsides as we dash from bathroom to bedroom!!
The cottage was comfortable and clean with a well equipped kitchen. Loved how it was integrated into a working farm and situated above the horse stables. Our little girl was only 10weeks old so didn’t really appreciate this but would love to bring her back when she’s older to see all the horses. Hosts were lovely and the location was good. Would like to try out the wagyu beef at the on-site restaurant next time.

This is a unique rental property on a working farm with view into the cow barn. It's clean and decently equipped and owner/staff are friendly and welcoming
