We didn't like being seated in the reception area to eat our breakfast but when we asked if we could go somewhere else we were kindly accommodated.

Breakfast was good and the members of staff were most helpful. Our dog particularly enjoyed being made a fuss of and spending time in the safety of the doggy paddock playing with us and another dog.

The grounds the good food and the amount of different sitting areas. We could follow the sun around the whole evening. Even a dog agility field! dogs are catered for too.

Bit of a doggy smell in our room, although not off- putting - I myself am a dog owner (two, in fact) and am heartened to know there are places to stay at that encourages dog owners to bring their pets. I would consider another visit with my dogs in tow!

Well located and convenient for us to travel to for a weekend visit.

Nothing to complain about at all. For me the only improvement would have been bath sheet instead of towel and mushrooms and black pudding with the breakfast but these things didn’t spoil our stay so we will definitely return

The hotel was in a picturesque location! Whilst the staff were lovely and the food was second to none. The breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and fantastic.

Lovely place , staff were great and the food was excellent 👌 Stayed for one night and the room was nice, comfortable bed with provision of tea/ coffee in the room. To top it off with a wonderful cooked breakfast ; good selection of foods offered. Highly recommended and would love to come again

Everything was wonderful. We held a wedding party there after getting married at Usk registry office (24 people) and the team couldn't have done more. It was a really fun party and everyone had a great time. It was relaxed, fun and the food was outstanding (Great steaks beautifully cooked and brilliant choice for Vegetarians) so exactly what we wanted. We had a room to ourselves and it was a wonderful day. We stayed for a couple of nights in the rooms and they have really comfy beds and all the facilities you need. Loved the Welsh cakes. All our guests were really happy. My Dad's dog was well catered for and welcomed with open arms as well rather than just being allowed to stay/tolerated as he often is in other places. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We've also been here for other meals and it's a absolute Gem of a place with brilliant staff and owners. We live about 40 mins away but I wish we lived closer so we could make it our local!

The bar was closed at 10pm and we were made to feel uncomfortable and rushed before being shepherded out. Drinks should be available in rooms.

Was so dog friendly which was amazing and the food was so tasty. Lovely homemade food which was really tasty. Great outdoor area to sit with heaters after dinner. Such a lovely stay.

TV could be a bit bigger in room 6. We struggled a little 😄

Lovely country pub with accommodation in a separate building. Lovely big room with a modern bathroom (room 6). We had dinner in the restaurant on our first evening. There was plenty of choice, and the food was well presented and very tasty. Both mornings, we had breakfast. The full English and vegetarian were fabulous. The fruit & yoghurt was a nice change for me on the second morning. The staff....well. Can't really say enough good comments! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. They are a credit to you 😃. We will definitely be back when the hockey resumes next season, and we will be bringing our friends too. 🖤💛

Everything! What a fabulous place to stay with your dog-dog friendly isn’t in it, it really is like home from home. The facilities are fantastic, and the staff team are second to none-totally outstanding!

Very close to a noisy main road. The sound proofing on the room was excellent so not a problem in cold weather as windows all shut. We were there in early March. However in warm weather with windows open noise could be a problem.

Excellent breakfast. Appreciated the personal touches like the welcome note on our table. Beautiful pub and hotel rooms.
