Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDrinks prices hefty compared to local competition. £33 pounds for a bottle of wine which is £9 in the supermarket.
Lovely room. Close to Cambridge, used the busway service 50 yards from the hotel for 2 pounds. Nice relaxed atmosphere in well apointed coaching inn.

Breakfast was freshly cooked, with lots of choice. Lovely clean bright dining room, very cosy. A lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there is no parking but lots of car parks very close by. I will defiantly be staying for remembrance weekend again next year.

United KingdomOnly one hiccup on morning one we waited over 30 mins before our hot drink and breakfast order was taken but all food was good ... there was an apology when staff realised this delay and the next morning all was spot on.
Great size room clean cozy and quiet considering we were over the front entrance onto the square. Lovely bathroom with spa bath and gorgeous products and a cheeky 🦆

United KingdomThe orange juice could be more natural. Saturday evening entertainment was a little noisy and went on until midnight. Evening menu was a little limited in choices. No car park, although easy and reasonable cost parking very close by.
Breakfast was very good with quality food. Bedroom was sufficient size, with a comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Appreciated the doggy welcome pack, which was a nice touch. The overall ambience of the hotel was very good.

United KingdomYou could hear people in adjoining rooms moving around. I think we were above the kitchen, so fans were very noisy when it all started up.
Room was comfy, clean, did the job. Staff were very ghelpful and friendly. I particularly liked the fact we could get fresh milk for the room - I hate UHT milk! Dog friendly, a real plus.

United KingdomBe aware that noise from events in the ground floor rooms travels through to the first floor rooms very effectively! Piano player (very good, but…..) on a Saturday evening was scheduled to finish at 22:30 but still playing until 23:17, and party/disco in back room lasted past midnight followed by noisy departures by taxi. Hotel very apologetic and not their fault as such, but check if you need your sleep or want to chat easily in the restaurant. Mind the steps! Last one on main flight is deeper than the others and can cause stumbles. No car park on site a little inconvenient, but short walk to one of three town car parks okay and you can drop off outside the hotel.
Bed extremely comfortable and good sized room. Shower and bath good. Rooms well appointed. Staff excellent: one of our party fell over and staff kind and efficient calling ambulance and providing initial care. Food good and preordering for our large group dinner effective. Nice food and service good. Never felt rushed and able to sit and talk at the table after eating.

United KingdomWe were a group of 5 for dinner, and service was very slow. I'd like to think there was a problem in the kitchen. It was again very slow for breakfast the following morning, but that's fine really as we weren't in a tearing hurry.
Spotlessly clean rooms, bed was incredibly comfortable. My room didn't have a window, but did have a skylight. So I could see the stars (and the lightning as it turned out!) Can't fault the staff, who were all very friendly.
