No WiFi in bedroom, no milk for tea, why provide coffee machine but no pods? Really poor tv signal, tiny bottle of shower gel not enough for a couple.

Staff were excellent, very polite & helpful & food was fantastic & nothing was too much for the Lady Chef. All in all a value for money stay. A little off the beaten track, but close to the site i was working at.

The staff were pleasant enough, but I thought that there was a lack of personal touch - little general chat, especially to myself as a lone traveller.

The breakfast was very good - everything I had asked for and freshly cooked. Very good sized portion!

The bedroom wasn't big enough to have much storage facility so it lacked a wardrobe and drawers. In hot weather a fan would be useful since with the window open you were aware of the traffic on the M6 less than a quarter of a mile away

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was good although lacking in bedroom furniture (i.e. no wardrobe or chest of drawers) The en-suite was modern with good facilities and an excellent shower. We had our evening meal in the pub and the food was very good, so too was the breakfast.

Leaving by stone staircase at the back was not the easiest set of stairs we have used. Whilst the room was quiet small it had all you need and the bathroom was huge.

Super quiet location in a delightful village setting. The food was very fresh and portions on the large size. The staff were great and we felt at home from the moment we walked in.

We were travelling up to Scotland and broke the journey by staying at the Globe. Ideally situated a little way of the motorway. The breakfast was good, we ordered what we wanted the night before. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Room could be bigger, one cup in the room was dirty and there was only one small container of shampoo which required careful use if both occupants wanted a shower!!

The cost of taxis from calthwaite to penrith, it was a bank holiday, but £36 one way, for an 8 mile trip, is excessive, so recommend travellers use their own transport

It ticks the boxes for me as a village pub. but maybe a few more coffee sachets in the room would be on a future wish list.

Very pleasant staff in a comfortable village setting, with good food available in the pub. Conveniently situated close to the motorway. The Globe Inn offers someting more personal and homely for those who don't want to stay overnight in a standard hotel chain when travelling.

Good sized breakfast. Convenient location to the Northern Lakes, and to the M6. Quiet, peaceful rural location.
