Understaffed, the staff were all very friendly and helpful but it’s a busy venue, there were events happening both days we stayed and there wasn’t enough staff so service in bar and restaurant was slow. Parking- because it’s a busy venue, there was no available parking and all the surrounding streets are all permit only.

Whilst the apartment was large and spacious, the ceiling for the bedroom was very low, and not for those who are tall or struggle with back problems.

Fantastic location with convenient parking. The apartment was very well stocked with drinks and snacks that made it convenient after a long day travelling for work. I had accidentally booked for the wrong day, but staff were quick to help me out (even after my 11pm arrival) - moving me to one of their apartments.

The coffee machine did not seem to work properly. I have used this exact pod based coffee machine before but after 4 aborted attempts we gave up. There was an old heater with broken legs in the corner of the room. Tried to use it as one of the windows was jammed open and it was cold. It let off a strange metallic burning smell then blew a fuse (the modern fan worked well though). Shower leaked through door so floor was soaking afterwards. 2 TVs, which was odd for a small room, with only one remote so you had to block the signal otherwise both TVs reacted. Sounds dodgy but really these are small things and the room was unusual and nice.

Lovely quirky furniture and decorations. Bathroom nice with bath and shower. Good positioning near town with car parking available. Stayed one night without breakfast so only saw one member of staff on way in and one checking out (there are no staff at night). The interaction was very minimal but friendly.

Breakfast was a bit ropey, my poached egg was well done and the yoghurt on the continental buffet table was not right in terms of consistency. And the compote was unbelievably sour. I couldn't select breakfast as part of my booking package and be aware that you pay for every individual item on the buffet.

Have stayed here before and was happy to come back. Great vibe, location and a very comfortable night's sleep. Although the room we were in could do with a little TLC in certain corners, we loved the decor and how comfy everything was. There was even a supplementary heater for us to use which came in quite handy and worked really well.

Price of breakfast! Of course I understand why - Booking.com great price, no breakfast - you have to make it somewhere!. I guess that next time I will call you and ask for your best price - inc breakfast We had Room no 1. V comfortable, but perhaps we should have been asked if we were OK with the disability room. The shower - not ideal!

Being able to open a window to get some fresh air would have been good. And I wondered why it was necessary to have two TVs in the room. I have never seen that before! But these are minor quibbles...

The room was spacious and well appointed. Bath and shower were great. A (very late) Sunday lunch was most excellent.

I think the bedrooms , although very clean and I would say fairly newly decorated is not to my taste. However the new extension which is basically the bar and restaurant is very appealing. It seems it is a hotel of two halves and they don’t marry up as well as they could.

The location was excellent. The staff were very good, helpful and friendly. The first bedroom that we were sent to was unsatisfactory but we were immediately ( upgraded) to another which was far superior. The food is good - we had an evening meal which was delicious.

Food in the restaurant in the evening wasn't great for the price. They seemed unable to cater for us as well as the wedding that was going on. Staff seemed keen to finish their kitchen shift and sit in the bar watching football and I think this was reflected in the quality of our food. I had asked for a quiet room and we were placed in a room that looked onto the outdoor entertainment area whilst a wedding party was going on. In the end this was ok as it finished before we slept. Breakfast buffet was not replenished so no croissants at all or fruit salad when we came down for breakfast despite there being 30 mins of breakfast service left. Pretty poor considering we were paying £15 a head for breakfast and that was what I wanted to eat.

The room was very clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly but missed key things.

Disappointed that the kitchen could not accommodate dinner. We arrived just before 9pm As a in -house guest I would have appreciated something such as room service option.

As a cashless site we opted not to spend at the hotel as our preferred method of payment is always cash. The mini bar pricing wasn't too offensive and was just about right but because we couldn't pay cash we opted for alternate means and did not spend as we normally would at the hotel.

Great location, excellent friendly staff and possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. There was a good range of amenities in the room such as a kettle, coffee machine and even a radio. Decor was unique and very nice and all within the room from a furniture perspective looked thoughtfully done and that it belonged..
