Unflexible breakfast needed to take a small breakfast back to room for sleeping baby. But not allowed. Little too strict and felt very rushed at breakfast

From a secluded car park in a pretty little village we walked through a pretty garden to be met by a friendly staff member who showed us to a fabulous garden room. We were stunned by the decor and the facilities. It was so comfortable, quiet and had a large bathroom with a bath, excellent shower and beautiful English countryside toiletries. Organic tea and a coffee maker was provided and bottled water. Breakfast was excellent - beautiful products freshly cooked and plenty of choice.

The service at breakfast left a lot to be desired. The food was faultless and very enjoyable but I sat for 10+ minutes waiting for attention from the guy who appeared to be in charge and who'd seen me walk in, told me where I could sit and then promptly disappeared. I had to go and ask for attention and a menu. When my continental breakfast was ready, ie the chef rang his bell for service, no one came. I was about to go and get it from the bar myself when the chef realised no one was coming and he served it himself. The restaurant was not busy and other patrons were similarly kept waiting. I did wonder if the staff and manager were new. There was no signage advising guests of the process and no one to ask.

I stayed in a garden room which was lovely especially because of the weather and had a little patio area with table and chairs. I ate in the restaurant on the night of my stay and the food was very good.

Situated in a small village on quiet country lane, Inn was welcoming, staff were friendly and nothing was too much. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable I had an excellent night sleep followed by a tasty Breakfast in the morning. Will be returning.

Absolutely amazing! Couldn't have wished for anything more. The rooms were brilliant, lots of nice small touches and really comfy beds. The pub itself and outdoor space was excellent. Location was super quiet so nice and peaceful when sat outside but the pub still had a really good atmosphere. Couldn't believe how good the breakfast was given it was included in the price! We were incredibly well looked after the whole weekend. Possibly our favorite ever UK stay! We will absolutely be back again. Cannot recommend enough.

Didn’t like how tip was put on bill without prior knowledge it would have tipped anyway but I would have liked to have made that decision didn’t like it was made for me .

Fantastic little find! We absolutely loved everything about this place. The food was delicious, service amazing and the homemade flapjacks in the room were like a little piece of heaven!

We were in room 8 and the temperature of the shower wasn’t easy to control. One second hot, the next cold.

We had a room above the pub, you could hear the music from downstairs which was put on at 7.30am we didn’t mind but if you’d like a lie in book a garden room.

We had a nice stay, the room was really nice and spacious. We had dinner in the evening which was very good, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding!

They forgot to put new towels in my room so I had to come and ask. Ended up with a little foot towel from the receptionist.

A very nice countryside experience. I like the staff very much as they are kind and attentive. The breakfast was fantastic with good hot choices and decent small buffet.
