The original room we were allocated was noisy due to kitchen extractor fan.

Very welcoming staff. I was given a quiet room when I requested a move away from the kitchen extractor fan! The meals were tasty. The room (8) was pleasant with lots of space.

It would be nice if the parking spots are only for hotel guests, so we are sure about parking.

We stayed at the hotel 4 days with a large dog. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very dog friendly. The dog was only allowed in the pub area, not in the formal breakfast area, but that was no problem for us. The breakfast was very good. There was a breakfast menu to choose from and some extra cereal and milk. The room was very clean. There is not a lot of parking spots available and guests from the pub can also park there. One day we returned late and we couldn't park our car at the parking lot of the hotel. Luckily there is free parking in the street or 5 min walk away is an extra free public parking lot available. The location is very close to Sissnghurst Castle and gardens.

There was building work next door which was noisy during the day - luckily we were out for most of it. One morning the shower was coming out lukewarm but the following day it was okay.

Free upgrade on arrival to a very comfortable room with large bed. The bathroom was adequate. Very tasty cooked breakfast with a variety to choose from. Great location for what we wanted to do.

No fruit juices or yogurts. Only two triangles of toast on the second day. Very slow service despite not being busy. Room noisy from the early morning traffic (road sweeper) and guests in the room above. Surprisingly little noise from. The bar below. The view from the window of the Church steps is pretty but the small balcony outside the window was grubby and in need of painting and cleaning. The bathroom mirror was very smart and new but you could see the outline of the previous mirror. There was no sign to indicate the hidden position of the shaver socket -a small sign would have been helpful. The wardrobe doors had seen better days. Why were the ceiling beams painted in beige paint when they should, as a feature, have been picked out in black paint, as is customary ???

Nice big full English breakfast. Lots of period features.
