Disappointed that food not available this was not clear when booking as it includes pictures of breakfast and was the reason i chose the hotel. when leaving there was no one to take my key this wasn't an issue but having a safe place to leave the key would be a lot better, a letter box on the wall wouldn't cost a lot and i would of been more confident leaving the key considering i would be charged if the key was missing.

The room was clean and met my expectations. Wifi was great and if i had visited the bar i would of felt welcomed.

Rooms above the bar are a little noisy in the evening but quiet after 11pm so no real complaints.

Excellent location for my purposes. Simple and friendly place. I've stayed 4 or 5 times now.

No meal service at the moment but that may change once the pub has a new owner (is currently on the market)

Nice location, close to the Downs. Just a normal pub with mostly locals. Quiet during the day.

Booking.com misled us. Apparently the hotel hasn't done food since February, plenty of time to change the advert

The staff were absolutely outstanding and very willing to help. Booking.com misled us by showing pictures of food which influenced our choice of hotel. I doubt I'll book anything through Booking.com again

Until we arrived I was not aware that the kitchen had been out of action for a long time. This resulted in us having to look elsewhere for an evening meal. We also had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Very much needed an uplift but staff friendly.

Bathroom floor had clearly been flooded before and was very soft underfoot. TV didn't work. Window above the bed didn't have a curtain and let in loads of light.

Convenient accommodation booked fairly last minute for a trip. Had the essentials. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.

Not like is too strong a word but as we were sitting above the bar it was quite noisy in the room… not a problem for our stay.

Oldy worldy which we like with wonky floors and walls for character. Comfy mattress.
