Lovely food and friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

The only thing that could of made it a little better is if they served food a little later or could of premade me some food, but I wasn't annoyed by this at as I did turn up relatively late there just wasn't anything else I could think of.

Breakfast was superb in the morning as I had a full English and the staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately due to my late arrival I was unable to have dinner at the hotel but I'm sure it'd of been great. The bed was also extremely comfortable and it was on the direct route home from Colchester (where I was working) back home to the North West so the location was ideal for the situation.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The George was better than expected. The public areas were clean. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing, nothing too much trouble. We were attending a wedding function in a different area and the staff were extremely helpful in offering to book taxis etc.

Everything was first class.

Perfect location for visiting the theatre at Kilworth House. Delicious fish and chips when we arrived at lunchtime. Very friendly staff and lovely large room.

Just one little moan the bread they served was the bread or though very tasty was when toasted was very hard to eat

The choice, with offerings of a full English breakfast, cereal, fruit accompanied by a lovely pot of tea. Staff were super, knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely be returning when we are next in the area,

Stayed in room 1 which was lovely but it's above the kitchen so very noisy which is a real shame.

I had problems accessing the internet via my laptop, mainly due to the weak password (a common occurrence in hotels and pubs). I also had problems accessing email via my mobile when in the restaurant plus some areas of the car park, although I was able to access them when in my room.

I've stayed at The George before, as it is well located for when I'm visiting the local area. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very pleasant and the food is generally good.

My steak at dinner was a little disappointing, otherwise very good food.

Efficient warm welcome on arrival. Good wifi. Exceptionally comfortable bed in spacious room. My brother's breakfast looked very good but I could not enjoy a cooked breakfast as I had somewhat over-indulged the previous evening - yes, the drinks were very good too!

Shower was too high for me ,so didn’t have a shower.Also dust on lamp also toilet roll in toilet.Also my room must have been over kitchen noisy in evening ,and abit in the morning early.

Great breakfast as always. Excellent and friendly service. Great location just off the A14, so not far to drive to a multitude of locations.
