The room was boling

The staff were amazing and very accommodating. Special mention to Chelsea x The Fish and Chips our friends thoroughly enjoyed, my husband's pizza. Mmmm, he didn't eat it. The room was lovely, clean and just what we expected but SO hot we hardly got any sleep. The breakfast was good. We will certainly visit again, the pizza will not be on our agenda!

There was not a lot of food options or shops because the hotel is in a very small village, and the nearest town was at least a 20 minute drive away. Since I was there for work, it was not a big issue as I dined at the pub restaurant. The rooms were not very soundproof and if another room had the tv on you could hear what was playing.

The room was very clean and the toilet was well maintained and modern. The staff are exceptionally friendly and will help to accomadate your requests.

Lovely building and history. Great dinner in the hotel, they were very accommodating for our two small children. Staff smiling and friendly. Felt very relaxed and home from home. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Room clean and comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee.

It is lovely hotel, and all of the staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean and have all that is required for a comfortable stay. The breakfast options are very good and the lunch and evening meal portions are generous.

Very limited vegetarian options on menu. No chair in bedrooms so had to sit on the bed

The hotel was having some building work done so the first morning we were wakened before 8am by a reversing concrete lorry but the 2nd day was absolutely fine. The contractors and staff did apologise but it was a special delivery while the weather was dry, but it didn't spoil our stay.

Breakfast, was great. Self service buffet with juice, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants. Plus a choice of cooked breakfasts to follow including a vegetarian breakfast. The dog particularly liked her Lincolnshire sausage and bowl of water while we enjoyed our breakfast. Coffee machine with the buffet, so hot and endless top-ups as required. Evening menu looked good but our son had made other plans for us. Popular spot with the locals and visitors.

I could smell cooking in the night.

The warm welcome and polite staff. Also, being able to accommodate our two dogs was important to us. Cleanliness was excellent throughout.

We were initially disappointed with the room as your website indicated a garden view which there wasn't. In addition the room was above the kitchen fan and ducting which on a previous visit woke us very early every morning and did not switch off until late evening. Having queried the room this time we were given a much better room for which we were grateful.

The staff, food and service were excellent. We also enjoyed our bedroom eventually - please see comments below. Having stayed with you before we knew what to expect and were not disappointed except for the initial bedroom selection.

I notified the staff on arrival that I had to leave early on the Sunday (about 7.30). I was advised that there would be someone there to let me have a cooked breakfast before I left (although they do not normally serve breakfasts until 8.00 on a Sunday). I went down at 7.15 the bar/restaurant was in darkness with no one there. I let myself out of the hotel via reception. Would not have minded if they said that could not provide breakfast.

Good quality food the restaurant. Room clean and comfortable and, above all, quiet.

Fabulous place to stay in a very pretty country village. Children absolutely adore the family room. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the food is fantastic. The facilities are spotless. Have stayed here on several occasions and we are all looking forward to coming again. Would thoroughly recommend staying here!

Wonderful country inn …fabulous room very clean and spacious with a slipper bath! Food excellent …lovely cosy bar area. Staff very friendly especially Richie and Chelsea! Fabulous location near to Lincoln well worth a visit ,and close to RAF Cranwell for aviation enthusiasts.

Quite steep stairs to our room ( my husband has difficulty walking). Very creaky floorboards in our room (no 1) . However, I would definitely stay here again.
