This is just our opinion and I'm sure others would disagree but we thought there were far too many houseplants in the bathroom . They could do with some TLC and basically get in the way ! Our table for dinner could have done with a candle /a little more light .It would have made the evening more enjoyable.

The location is excellent and whilst there is no car park it was easy to park nearby. The Fig is a little quirky . We enjoyed the room with its splendid bath . The evening meal with the shared plates was fun. The food was delicious with interesting flavour combinations. All served efficiently . Breakfast where we could choose from the daily breakfast menu was great. We were greeted with a friendly smile and dealt with in a courteous manner.

I didn't like or eat the breakfast! so sorry but a proper English breakfast would have been nice to see on the menu bit of a waste of money for me!

Perfect location on Rye High Street, staff were very welcoming and allowed us to check-in early as room was ready. Large room comfy bed and pillows. Great night sleep and really good breakfast. You get to choose from the restaurant brunch menu that the rooms are above. All in all a great experience

The noise from the room next door could clearly be heard walking around and talking. The bed was very comfortable but quite noisy when turning over during the night.

Good location. Lovely room. Delicious breakfast. Warm welcome and friendly well informed staff. The bath in the room was such a relaxing welcome.

Bed was a standard double. Mattress was ok but not the best. Lighting wasn’t great - too dark. Bathroom had a shower only, no extractor fan or windows so ventilation could have been improved upon.

Great location above The Fig cafe/restaurant at the end of the high street. A short walk to a car park nearby (pay and display c£5 for 24 hours). Staff are so lovely and the breakfast in the cafe was off their main brunch menu so a great way to sample the food. We also had dinner there one evening which we enjoyed but probably didn’t need to having stayed 2 nights and there are lots of great restaurants in Rye.

Just personal preferences. I hadn’t realised that our room didn’t have a shower. ONLY a bath. And there was no heating on in the bathroom, which in February would have been nice. Also I don’t eat eggs or banana , which left the breakfast choice very limited, but what I did have was very tasty.

Excellent location. Clean. Strict policy about No Pets. My breakfast choice was delicious.

Staff were so friendly and the room was beautifully & simply decorated. We were in the Boho room and I'm already planning to book again so I can sleep in that wonderfully comfortable bed with the best pillows! Excellent rain shower and delicious breakfast too 😁

The only negative or improvement I could say was the coffee machine in the room was really loud and the sachet milk with it didn’t make a very nice coffee but it is a very minimal comment and wouldn’t affect our overall review or us returning.

The room was stunning, it felt like you were abroad looking into the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, couldn’t believe the value for money, would definitely stay again.

It took a while to check in as no staff there when the cafe was closed so wasn’t sure how to get our keys until someone finally emerged from downstairs. Think a phone number could help make that more seamless

We had the Retro room with fabulous views and beautiful mid century furniture and design. Room was clean and smelled delicious aromas of lavender and herbs.

The room is described as having 'A Garden View'. That is literally correct , there just isn't much of a garden, which meant we could basically see the bins out the back. Having said that, we did go in January so.....Probably significantly better at any other time of year.

The location was great, right on the High St. Parking might be an issue at busier times of year. I loved the minimal hassle. Showed up, signed in, got keys, job done. The facilities in the room were good and we liked the decor. breakfast was off-the-clock delicious and we liked the vibe of the cafe and the town.
