United KingdomThe hotel itself is a little old fashioned & dated, decor a bit run down etc., but everything was clean & everything worked as it should, excellent value for money in a convenient location near the A1M. What really improved the stay for us was the food which was on a completely different level. We ate in the bar (there's also an Indian restaurant) & the food was absolutely top notch & great value, wine list was fairly basic, but well priced & some good wine at very reasonable prices - would certainly stay there again if passing that way

United KingdomWe hardly saw or interacted with any staff. The desk was unstaffed when we were checking out, would have been nice to leave some face to face feedback. The bed in our room was not comfy unfortunately. This needs attention. The mattress was on a slant and felt like one of us was higher than the other. My partner slept on the raised side and kept rolling on to me during the night. The base of the bed does not look right. It was an uncomfortable night.
Location for our visit to Retford. Parking was stress free. Lovely building.

United KingdomOur room was a bit tired and dated. The curtains do not completely shut out the powerful lighting along the front of the hotel. Breakfast was good, although the tomato included in the full English breakfast was raw and uncooked. The toast both of us were served was stone cold, which was a bit strange.
Location to walk into town is very good. Hotel is situated in grounds slightly set back from the main road. The staff we came into contact with were attentive and polite.
