We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Lovely quaint hotel & pub in the centre of Windermere. Warm welcome - we were shown upstairs to a comfortable clean bedroom with excellent new shower ensuite. Nice touches - fresh flowers in the room. Excellent breakfast in a interesting atmospheric dinning room. Really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, great breakfast and convenient location. We opted to eat our evening meal in the pub and it was excellent, full of flavour, generous portions and great value for money. Beer garden is a bonus, especially when the sun comes out to play.
