Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe man at reception is a joy and a credit to the property; such a warm and welcoming check-in. Great little hotel in perfect location for visiting the Cambridgeshire area. Room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped

United KingdomHotel is tired. There are plans to upgrade parts of the hotel. Breakfast was poor quality and expensive, at £10, for what was available.

United KingdomAs mentioned it is being renovated. The exterior was a bit shabby as was the car park. We knew that when we booked so it didn’t spoil our stay.
I thought the position was excellent. I loved eating breakfast while having the view across the field. Hopefully the renovation work currently in progress will include the exterior and allow the main river frontage to be used.

United KingdomRoom was clean but smelt musky like pets had stayed in there Room was on the road and noisy with people walking past close to the window. I had previously contacted the hotel by email regarding the free upgrade offered if we booked direct and was advised there were no upgrades to twin rooms so decided against cancelling and rebooking. When we arrived was offered an upgrade to the room for £25 as apparently there are better twin rooms but we declined! The hotel seemed to be fairly empty so if they had a better room why not just let us have one anyway. We stay in the area quite regularly so always looking at places to stay but this could have been better.
Location near town and marina Room was comfortable for one night

United KingdomUntidy, dirty approach and very tired dated bar/breakfast room. Not somewhere you would want to spend any time in. Was kept awake by people coming back from late night out and arguing,
Great location. Had the king deluxe which was actually not a bad room.

United KingdomBreakfast was disappointing. The cooked breakfast was ok but it was advertised as Lincolnshire sausages and they weren't. The croissants and brioche seemed like they were a supermarket budget range. It said a choice of pastries. There wasn't a choice. The bath needed a mat so that you didn't slip when using the shower. The view from our room was lovely but anyone walking in the park could see into our room. Very limited bar service. Restaurant being refurbished.
The location was wonderful. Right on the river. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were cheerful and pleasant.

United KingdomThe pictures are deciving, taken from the back, pulling into the hotel it looks like a building site, one building looked abandoned where the reception is, there's a weird smell in the hallways, even tho the room itself has been recently refurbished It looks rushed with chips in the bathroom, paint splodges and the balcony area needs updating. The mattress was very hard so i didn't sleep well. Breakfast would of been £10 each extra after spending £120 a night I find that ridiculous! By the looks of the breakfast room I gave that a miss as it looked run down and the WiFi only worked in the reception and not much phone signal. Oh and they double book people! A couple were turned away after there room was allready occupied!
The room itself had recently been refurbished so new carpets wallpaper ect bathroom looked nice, great view from room

United KingdomSadly, the gardens and structures are neglected. There are weeds everywhere and the rooms have spiders. The whole place could use renovation and maintenance.
The location is ideal and the property itself has the potential to be top notch. The skeletal staff are nice. The rate is not high.

United KingdomThis hotel is undergoing massive renovation and was clearly previously in a run down state, which remains evident. It is like staying on a building site with contractors everywhere and no communal areas open with the exception of a makeshift reception. Our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the river, but this was slightly unkempt which let the newly refurbished room down. The shower was amazing, but unfortunately flooded the bathroom floor every time we used it.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Right on the river front. Our room was clearly newly refurbished and was very comfortable.
