Nice room, friendly staff, good food and atmosphere

This isn't a criticism of the staff at The Crown Inn its more regarding Thwaites the group that own the business. They need to provide more selection / support to customers regarding free from meals. I understand an allergen file is the requirement they follow, but at least give customers some markings on the menu's so they can check which foods are free from. All food served was beautiful and a credit to the chef.

Our room was fabulous and the residents area for eating and drinking was an excellent touch

It was our first visit to Pooley Bridge. we stayed at the Crown Inn. We stayed in room 18 on the top floor, which was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice all the staff were lovely good value for money definitely be going back there 👍

The only issue was limited parking.

The location, access to the river via terrace, which is ideal in warmer weather.

Very nice room and en-suite clean throughout, nice touches in the room with the white company shower gel, soap and moisturiser. Given fresh milk for the room and a very good well stocked selection of quality teas coffee and hot chocolate. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Very nice hotel and lovely room, welcoming staff, relaxed and friendly atmosphere any time of the day. Room was very nice, warm and clean, breakfast was excellent, and restaurant bar food good. Staff were always helpful and pleasant. A really nice place to stay.

Limited evening menu although appreciate that this was an off season stay and therefore the menu may have been reduced because of this.

The staff were amazing and so accommodating. Very friendly. The food was excellent. Breakfast especially. Cooked to order and not over facing with the amount. The location is Perfect, the views are incredible of ullswater. It was quiet when we stayed, which was lovely. I can imagine it to be very busy in the summer months

One of the two veggie options on the menu wasn’t available, however, an alternative was offered so all good.

The residents lounge was a lovely touch. All the staff were amazing. The service was fantastic. Breakfast was great and a veggie breakfast too. Menu was great and food lovely. Room was great and fantastic sized bathroom. Fresh milk in the room is a great touch. The view and outlook of the lake is super. Would highly recommend.

The shower in the room wasn't great

It is our second stay at the Crown Inn. The location is wonderful, but most of all, the staff make the stay very special. The room was very comfortable, breakfast was lovely as was dinner. We love this place

Got parked ok but it is restricted, although there are alternatives to be fair I believe.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful from start to finish. The Crown Inn, is well located and is very charming. An excellent combination of traditional with a modern twist. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast. We stayed in room 17 which was on the top floor and had beautiful views of the lake. All in all, our stay was everything we could have wished for and we will definitely be back.

Room was slightly on the small size, but we managed and didn't spend much time there anyway. A couple of the staff could have smiled and a tad more welcoming.

First time we've taken our dog away, it was so dog friendly. Even down to beds for them in the pub. Sausages for breakfast. Most of the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Did worry with it being dog friendly that it wouldn't be clean, but rooms were lovely. No dog smell or hair. Not a spec of dust. Food was good pub food and breakfast was really good value for what you paid.

Only downside was we were in room right at the top of the stairs and the noise was constant people coming in and out and down stairs.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely and ate in the restaurant one evening which was also lovely. Great location.
