Beautifully and sympathetically refurbished iconic 1930’s building close to cinema, restaurants and shops. Clean, welcoming and good food. Wonderful cream tea. Great vfm. Would stay again.

I very very disappointed by my room service. Our dinner was brought up in a take away brown bag and take away bowl. I couldn't have ordered McDonald's or Chinese if I know this was the case. I was expecting a proper dinning experience with my spouse not a brown takeaway bag. No tray no nothing. For the price we payed on food, that was really disappointing.

It did not have a lift. The bathroom self-drying mirror in our Deluxe room rose to a worryingly high temperature - so that it was almost unbearable to be near. There was no upholstered bed board to lean back against.

There was a very slight odor from the drain hole of the shower area when showering the first day but rapidly addressed as I did not smell it after the room cleaning.

I choose the Comet hotel as it is very close to the HIC and University of Hertfordshire. It is also pretty close to the Galleria Mall. It is at commuting distance to the College and University. The Luna (students accommodation) close by is very quiet so there is almost no noise. I didn't even hear the noise from the close-by road. The security is nice and the access to the room is well protected. The room is so comfy with a wonderful blue wall and beige bergere with lovely and comfy bedding. I could have a temperature of 21C or 27 according to the weather. I really loved the in-room cookies and chamomile tea but there is There was a TV with nice channels which I watch when I was not sleeping or having errands. There were adequate toiletries and the shower floor is nonskid which is a real plus. The room lighting was superb and adequate and the windows had white blinds besides the curtains. I had a lovely rest during those three nights and will surely stay there for my next visit in Hatfield.

I can't really fault anything and the staff were great.The Comet Hotel in Hatfield.

The hotel is well situated it is modern and well played out. The room was made up as requested with two single beds as requested and was clean and tidy with nice big bathroom towels. The restaurant and bar are well situated, and there was an extensive menu. The foowas excellent. Overall, I had a very good stay, and I look forward to staying at the Comet Hotel again.

The only minor points was that there was no hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang a dressing gown, and one of the bedside reading lamps didn't work.

We ate in the restaurant, and the food was very tasty, well cooked and served with a bit of style. Our room was in the new wing, and well designed with a comfortable bed and good shower - with a non-slip tray.

They pick the doors at the front at night so you have to find someone to be able to let you out for a cigarette and they are not always at the front desk to do that

The lady on reception didn’t know about the locality when we asked for advice about place to eat & finding the town centre. The bar closed v promptly at 11.00pm although we did manage to get one drink before the bar man left. One of the rooms was missing a tv remote control.

Bedrooms were immaculate, spacious & v comfortable. Friendly staff & good that reception desk was manned 24/7.
