Our room was smaller than I expected and dark as it backed onto the steep bank behind the hotel. The front facing rooms will probably be lighter. However, having the lounge available to sit and read meant that this wasn’t a big problem

We had a very warm welcome and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great and having the car park was very convenient. The breakfasts were excellent, with a good choice available. The lounge was lovely and the honesty bar was a nice touch, as was the complimentary coffee / tea in the lounge area

We've stayed here a couple of times and think that the rooms are a little snug for the price, but I suppose you are really paying for the location and the fact that the hotel has a car park. The staff here are friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is also very good and cooked to order with fruits, yogurt cereals etc also available.

Quaint, professional, well-organized hotel for it's size. Every requirement comfortably catered for. Parking is a real bonus, breakfast choice is excellent. Lounge area with free coffee machine. Rooms are snug but it is a fishing harbour venue sovery much part of it's charm.

Lots of stairs but manageable. Toilet was very near the towel radiator so kept catching your legs on it Could do with a label on the cupboard to locate the fridge. But nothing was a major issue

Room 9 is quite tight for space and wash basin is only ‘hand size’ making cleaning teeth difficult, but as a place just to sleep it’s OK. Hot chocolate and biscuits not replaced on tea tray, unlike milk tea sugar - better not to include them for arrival if not replacing.

Friendly helpful staff, great location, parking facility, clean, fresh milk in fridge for tea tray. A lounge where tea/coffee also available. Honesty bar for wide range of drinks & some snacks (pub prices).

The stairs in the hotel are rather steep and narrow, nothing can be done about it, but carrying cases was a bit difficult.

Our room was clean, quiet & comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was a really good choice on the menu. It was also good that the dedicated car park was just across the road, so we didn't have far too carry our luggage.

The steps inside the hotel are very steep. Dragging suitcases upstairs was a challenge!

This is a superbly located hotel in Polperro. Everything is in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel car park is directly opposite the hotel. That makes parking easy. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

The location was fantastic. Walking distance to harbour and coastal path. Pubs for dinner also within walking distance. Loved having a car park making the visit stress free. Without the car park it would be more difficult to visit given the narrow streets and limited access to parking. Bed was very comfortable. Room warm modern light and clean. Unlimited access to tea and coffee whenever you want in lounge. Breakfast was delicious and our son is an executive chef so know what good food tastes like. Really friendly and hospitable owner. Looking for any excuse to return.

Not much. For some no one on site after 6pm may be a concern.

As the hotel is in an old building it was nice that the room was a decent size, as we also had our dog with us. Room was nicely clean and the bed comfy. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nice touches with good quality products in the room as well as fresh milk for tea and coffee. Also for the dog, towels to wipe her down, as this was mid winter, and the treat at breakfast were appreciated. Breakfast was excellent for the adults too, made to order with great produce.
