Bar staff extremely rude and refused to serve us as we didn't agree with what they were saying. Other local pubs were great, we were not drunk in no shape or form.

Location was great. Room was comfortable. Noise was a worry when I booked but actually it was quiet whilst I was there. The hotel does provide earplugs in cases of someone wanting an early night.

As it is on a main road and an old building with single glazed original windows noise was a bit of an issue for one of the rooms. Otherwise it is perfect and felt very safe. Water pressure in shower was weak.

Amazingly spacious suite. Thoughtfully furnished with extra cute touches. Home from home. Clean and well maintained.

I had not appreciated when booking is that there is NO BREAKFAST at this so-called Hotel, which would be better described as a pub with rooms. Whilst the accommodation is perfectly adequate, you do need to fend for yourself for meals and there is nowhere very close suitable for meals apart from Indigo Hotel and the Royal County Hotel which are in a different budget bracket! Cafes are available in the City Centre over the Elvet Bridge.

Location is good at the foot of the Elvet Bridge. Easy access out of hours. Room was clean and tidy, albeit rather small. Staff member took me up to the room, which initially appeared to be a rabbit warren, but actually was easy to find once you know the way. The pub itself is very popular although I was fed and watered at Durham Castle during my stay.

The room was noisy, they supply ear plugs for a reason, the traffic goes on most of the night, they have live music on a Friday so would be better staying and listen till it finished, they are replacing the windows so that would make it much better to stay.

An old grade ll listed building,a short walk into the centre, comfortable bed and nice shower.

My only issue was that the heating appeared to be externally controlled. The radiator came on at one point and the room felt comfortably warm but then around 30 minutes later it had turned off and the room started to get a little cold.

I was quite pleased with the WiFi performance, I expected to be throttled as that has been my experience in previous hotel stays but the WiFi in this hotel was fast and stable.
