Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomNo parking space at midnight, occupied by pub guests. Loud music from the pub downstairs until 1:15 am and shouts even longer! No info on booking website, there is a noisy pub under the hotel. Got a message after booking, it can be noisy until midnight but it was much longer. I left the hotel tired.

United KingdomThe room wall are very thin so If you are there for a quiet night away maybe not the place for you but if you looking for a nice night away with plenty of places to go its great. The music went off before 12pm and there were no noisy neighbours and noone hanging outside as some reviews have suggested.
This stay was perfect for what we were wanting. A night out in a lovely village. We were a bit sceptical with a few of the locals in the pub but they didn't stay late and we had a great night out the staff were so lovely and the prices were so reasonable the pub is situated in the heart of the village so walking distance to all the pubs and restaurants fir a good night out. The hotel rooms were clean and the bed was really comfy. Complimentsry Tea and biscuits and big fluffy towels. Free parking.

United KingdomThe Castlegate Arms was not open when arrived around 1300 hours The appearance was nothing like the online photos I should have read the reviews of previous people who stayed at the Castlegate Arms. We made the decision not to stay and drove home another 2 hours 40 minutes after already driven 3 hours I was supposed to be an interim stop I was shattered when I got home Reaching home I looked at the New!! Photos of this establishment they showed crowds outside slong with police I also looked at the reviews mostly 1/5 awful You as a Company need to continue vetting these premises I feel I should not be charged on this occasion I await your response Yours faithfully Eric Jarvis

Great location, rooms are lovely! Staff in the pub& Owner could not do enough for you! Beds are sooo comfortable! The Music in the pub is very loud, even when we visited on a weekday but does go off at midnight so might not be the best place if your wanting quiet/early night but we loved it!
