The property is in a quiet street with plenty of parking. Beautiful bedrooms. Very comfy bed, large bathroom. The host Scott was very helpful and welcoming.

Although we were aware that the room we booked was at the top of the property up two flights of stairs, as one of us has a back problem the stairs were challenging. The owner was extremely helpful and carried our luggage up and down which was a great help.

The property was well situated within easy access of the center of Portrush and has been lovingly restored and decorated. Despite building work being undertaken at the nearby railway halt, we found the property was very quiet.

The Carrick is a Gem! So pleased we chose here for our recent trip to Portrush. It's in a lovely quiet area and has a view back over the town. We were able to park easily and walked into the town along the west prom. Our room/suite had the bedroom, toilet and spacious bathroom (with free standing bath) off a little hallway once through the keyless entry door. Beautifully decorated in keeping with the period of the building as is the whole house. Scott is very welcoming and clearly very passionate, he was very attentive to our needs during our stay, couldn't do enough and gave us loads of recommendations and ideas for our day trips and evenings. Breakfast was perfect! There's an extensive menu to choose from with locally sourced quality produce, my poached eggs were perfect both mornings! Great coffee and again Scott made sure we had everything we wanted. Its in a great location to visit the town and to use as a base to visit the many nearby attractions, would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

There wasn't anything not to like. Just wished we could have stayed longer.

From the minute left home in London we felt good vibes about the stay as Scott had txt us to find out a rough time of arrival and to say he was looking forward to welcoming us. Our flight was delayed which then meant our connection times for the train there were affected so we were later arriving and this was also not a problem. When we we arrived, Scott welcomed us, dealt with payment, showed us where breakfast would be and carried my bag upstairs which was very gentlemanly! He showed us all we needed to know about how to access the room, and other useful information about our stay. He offered us a drink and he quickly returned with a beer and a diet coke which went down a treat after our long journey. We were given a menu for breakfast and we're asked to let him know by txt before 7pm the night before what choices we would like. We made our choices and I asked if the full English could be adjusted and something else added which again was no problem. We was told to contact him by txt anytime day or night if we had any other queries. After an evening out in Portstewart, we arrived back late, I was thirsty. So although it was 10.30pm, I txt Scott to ask if there was a chance I could get a drink and within seconds he replied saying he would be 2 minutes. He then turned up with 2 diet Cokes. After the most fabulous sleep in a very comfortable bed we went down to breakfast, to find 3 tables in front of big windows overlooking a lovely garden. In the room was an honesty bar, fridge and a very comfortable leather sofa seating area. The starter menu on the table was an added bonus and a few things to choose from. Scott welcomed us and asked if everything was OK with our room etc. We were then served by Scott and his young daughter who were very efficient and friendly. I had an amazing breakfast which had been exactly as I had asked for and it was hot and filling. Large individual bottles of orange or apple juices with grolsh like bottle tops were an added addition.

Scott is an excellent host. He even arranged for us to get tickets to a hurling game in Dublin. He was very accommodating with serving breakfast whenever we wanted it. Drive us into town for dinner. I cant say enough nice things about this gracious host

The room was big the bed was comfortable everything was tidy and clean at arrival our time there couldn’t have been better the staff were amazing and very hands on which made the experience even better. The breakfasts were amazing and the presentation was even better. Definitely will go back
