Nothing we really disliked. The breakfast is ok but it would be even better if there was a menu that you could pick from, instead of it all being done by verbal description and the staff having to remember. The standards Full English is offered and I noticed that different guests got slightly different breakfasts :0) Minor improvements would be for decaffeinated tea and coffee to be provided in the room along with the standard ones, and for the owners to be a little more generous with toilet paper (half a roll for 2 people for 2 days is a little optimistic!)

Great pub in a great location. All of the staff were friendly and polite. Our room was in the separate B&B block, so we didn't have to go through the pub to access it. We could park right outside the room.

Lovely big room with a great shower. We stayed on a night that they held a beer festival and then karaoke outside, we were made to feel really welcome by both staff and regulars.

The ground floor room looked straight out onto quiet culdasac street which was ok but would be nice to have net curtains or frosting on lower part of windows for privacy.

The room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was delicious. My husband even said it was the best breakfast ever. We were able to pakt right outside our room. The pub was lovely and the meal in the evening was presented beautifully and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The central heating in the allocated accommodation barely worked, this despite duty manager doing his best during the evening; didn't fancy using the tired looking shower cabinet ... the room was just too cold.. Beer management of the welcome range from GreenKing was appaling, maybe suffering from a hectic Xmas rush and lack of knowledge and attention from the bar staff; gave up after cloudy and murky Abbots Ale and a dead pint of 4X. Worst was there being no warning that food service would not be available either in the evening or for breakfast; admittedly mine was a Boxing Day reservation with attendant staffing difficulties but the proprietor should have pointed this out when checking in that midday ... most dissapointing and unprofessional. Will not be staying there again, sorry.

Good location between town centres and motorway access points. A pleasant country pub + B&B accomodation which is prominently signposted from the mainroad turn-off. Large bar and dining space, plenty of tables; all bright and attractive. Interesting limited daily menu, but check with proprietor that it will be available for you stay before committing your booking. Accommodation is basic but quite adequate for an overnight stay; wall mounted TV facing the bed is minuscule and useful in the background only.

The ensuite shower room was huge but the shower grouting could have been a little more appealing but that is a small point.

The breakfast was amazing, not greasy, one of the best we have had! Lovely dining area and the staff were friendly and professional.

The rooms are tired looking and could have been cleaner. We were charged an extra £10 for a twin room instead of a double and breakfast wasn’t included so I feel that it was overpriced. The staff aren’t communicating with each other very well. The staff member who checked us in said we could have breakfast at any time so we booked it for 9.30 and when we arrived for breakfast the chef said he finishes cooking breakfast at 9.30 and that they shouldn’t have told us that.
