Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesSuperb attention to detail in the rooms is obvious from the free standing tub to the fixtures. The paint choices are elegant and relaxing. Fresh baked cookies delivered on a tray in the afternoon. And, most importantly, the food. Make sure to go and invite friends or sit solo and enjoy the great love and care they put into their menu, spirits and wine. Start a conversation and you'll quickly realize it's love for these things that makes the place what it is. And a lot of determination of course. If I lived in London this would be a regular spot for me. Checks all the boxes.

On arrival we were taken up to the room and shown round along with details of how to get in/out the property when the pub was shut. Freshly made cookies were also provided which was a lovely touch. We thought the whole decor and feel of the property were great, would highly recommend.

A fabulous place within easy walking distance of the O2 Forum. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the room was very quiet and comfortable. Thoughtful little touches, like spare wash kit items, gorgeous luxury soaps and a jug of milk already in the fridge made all the difference after a long journey. There was also plenty of hot water for long soak in the luxurious copper bath tub.

Location was perfect. I would have given it a 10 but our coffee machine was not working, and no instant provided as back up. Always provide instant as a back up! A minor problem which if raised I have no doubt would’ve been resolved promptly.

United StatesMy only problem was with checkout- I hadn't realised the hotel wasn't staffed first thing in the morning, so I couldn't checkout at 9 and leave my bag for an hour (no lift, so I couldn't face carrying my bag upstairs again!). Will know next time, as I could have left the bag in my room, and walked on the Heath.
Lovely decor, very clean , friendly check in. Appreciated the Nespresso machine and the home made cookies!

United StatesThere are a bunch of stairs so not recommended for families with strollers. Other than that, zero complaints. Truly exceptional in every conceivable way.
The staff here are passionate, friendly and super helpful. You are treated like a VIP. The atmosphere is second to none - the pub is spectacular (incredible food) and the accommodations are bespoke and gorgeous. Everything has been considered to the tiniest detail. The shower is legendary!

We stayed overnight and used their private room for a family dinner party for 11. The food was superb (one description was "a veritable banquet") and Anna, our charming host throughout the evening, attended to our every need. Other staff we met next morning were equally friendly. The bedroom was v clean had all the modern amenities you'd expect in a classy 3-star hotel.
